Also any one that likes animals I work at a zoo please feel free to look at the photos. The zoo was opened in 1934 Edith Rockefeller wanted a zoo without bars, they have motes so no animal can get to any person. So she put up the money and the Chicago Zoological Society was born. (AKA Brookfield zoo.) Sadly she passed away before the zoo was opened in 1934. But the history still lives today in this wonderful park. It's not only a zoo it also has arboretum status because of the many plants, flowers, and trees that are planted around the park. It's just 20 min. outside of Chicago so if anyone visits Chicago come to this zoo! welcomes
