I think December 1 (or the first Sunday in Advent, which is usually around there) is perfect for Christmas decorations. And Halloween can wait until Canadian Thanksgiving (2nd Monday in October), even if Walmart and Costco seem to think otherwise. Right now, they have both Halloween and the first round of Christmas stuff out.
