Hi,

This ad was banned because of the controversy over her Like A Prayer music video at the time. The black jesus the burning crosses etc, all of which the catholic church found offensive therefore Pepsi refused to feature the video in their commercial any longer and banned it from been shown on TV! Madonna still walked away with her 5 million dollar fee for her appearance so i don't think it will have bothered her either way lol. If anything the ban probably done more to promote her song.

Thanks for the comments guys. I am not involved in advertising yet I have a degree in Marketing and Management. But, I love to see what is weird (sexy) and why advertisement have been banned. I was hoping, like many other topics on the Lush Forum, there would be some interesting conversations.
Kiss Tobacco - Israel - Banned as it contains "obscenity and ressemblance of human beings"

A lot of countries will NOT show this one - for obvious reasons

The concept of “sex sells” barely gets more explicit than in Terry Richardson’s 2007 campaign for Tom Ford’s men’s fragrance.
