The first time I read anything of hers, there seemed to be an echo of familiarity, which I couldn't pin down. Then one night while I was watching the Summer Olympics, a TV commercial played featuring the unmistakable voice of Maya Angelou, and all of a sudden the echo was crystal clear. I flashed back to that glorious time when I first read Maya Angelou's poetry. I'm pretty sure that Regina knows why that caged bird sings, also. She is a beautiful soul. I am a fan forever.
