It is better to be picky and wait for someone special then get in stupid relationship and miss the chance for special one.
Of course if you are just looking for any reason to say no, perhaps you are not ready or too scared.
But remember one thing, no one is perfect and neither are you.
It is not noticeably when your too picky not unless you realize your menstruation are going to stop menopause.
I think a little over 10 years is to picky . I dunno. After catching 2 of my ex g/fs with my best friends in the act at the time .Made me to picky. But Hey! I am still single wtf.

In general it's good to picky, but I would moderate that by saying, "be picky... after you have enough information".
Sometime people are picky based on first impressions, but in the real world the first impressions are not always great. So you can end up ruling people out as not being up to your standard without giving them a fair crack.
So my rule would be: Maintain your high standards, but only decide when you know them well enough!
