So to start off with my recent exboyfriend was my first everything and I mean everything. Well I'll give the whole back story first.
I started working at McDonald's last December and my sister works there as well. She was all don't talk to this guy, Anthony, he is bad news and I don't want you to get into that type of stuff alright? I agreed and continue to work. She leaves and the next manager paired me and Anthony up so he could train me how to work everything at McDonald's and answer whatever questions I had. Well he did and shortly after as weeks passed he said I was his best friend at work and I'm all okay thats cool, your pretty cool so we should hang out sometime and he said alright I'll text you sometime when I'm free. So later that night it was around midnight he called me and asked if I wanted to hang out and I said I had to call my dad and he said no so I snuck out anyways to meet Anthony. Well we went back to his house and hung out in his basement from midnight till 2 in the morning. I was sitting on the couch and he was laying on the ground while we played GH3 on the wii. The way he would look at me would just send heat waves all over my body it was so intense and meaningful. Well he took me home and said I'll see you later alright? I agreed and walked inside. well 5 hours later he called me and asked to hang out. We did, we drove the country for 12 hours just talking, never having a quiet moment just talking and laughing. It was the best night. Well we get to work the following day and he asked me to go to the movies with him sometime as friends and I said sure. Well we ended up seeing 2 movies instead and he paid for both. While we waited for the second movie we sat in his car. He kept trying to kiss me but I denied it because it would have been my first meaningful kiss ever. So he just put his arm around my waist and we cuddled. We watched the second movie then we walked out to go home and he came to my side of the car to open the door for me and I kissed him. We ended up making out in the parking lot. We stopped kissing and got into the car and we drove home but instead of him taking me straight to my house we stopped in an empty lot and made out for the second tie that night. So a week passed and he asked me to be his girlfriend and I of course said yes.
Now i'm just blabbing so I'll get to the chase.

Anthony is the type of guy that has the tough guy exterior but his interior is he is a sweet and caring guy who would do anything for the one he loved. Well he did tell me a million million times that he loved me and I was his one. But the bad part is that we broke up in June because he needed time to collect himself back before he gets shipped off to Basic Training because he is joining the air force and we can't be together through that because being away from each other with no talking or contact once so ever would KILL us both. So it was a mutual break up but he said we could still be friends and talk and stuff like we would before. Well its been 4 months since we broke up and he wants nothing and I mean NOTHING to do with me. He refuses to work with me, refuses to talk to me, text me, or hang out with me. Now I can understand he doesn't want it to kill him before he leaves if we start to get close again. But to shun me from your life like that isn't going to make the pain stop. Its just going to hurt me more. So what I'm wondering is, what do I do to keep him in my life, but still giving him his space till I'm done with High School?? He is graduated and I'm a Junior in high school. And he told me that if we are still talking after I graduate that there is a chance we could get back together.... SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!! He is the love of my life and everyone I mean everyone says he is the one for me and they can see me marrying him someday. HELP!

This line makes me very nervous. Mostly because my own daughter is a sophmore in high school.
Granted there is some very helpful advice to be found here, but personaly, don't want to think of her or her friends coming here for it. Sorry, wish you luck anyway with your problem

Sorry to say this, but i highly doubt it. Nearly EVERYONE had that first person they fall in love with and want to spend their life with, and it rarely happens. It might be hard but try and forget about him and move on. He's not giving you the time of day so why should you bother with him?? If/when he comes back, there's no harm thinking about getting back together but for now just try not to beat yourself up abotu it

Firstly, and with respect, 'cos you seem quite cool and thoughtful, this site might be a little full-on for you..... That's just my opinion...

Secondly, every logical thought tells me that this young man has enjoyed you as much as he wants to and is now distancing himself from you... (If he REALLY loved you he'd want to spend every possible moment with you before he leaves...) Young men, even the nice ones, say what you need to hear to get what they want...

My advice to you you is to file this under 'Not Meant To Be'... In the meantime, be as happy as you can be, dress pretty and have fun, don't let him know he's hurt you but be polite and charming AND DISTANT...... If he really wants you, he'll fight for you and EARN you..... Make him work hard, Girl.....

And there'll be other, nicer, more worthy boys....... (You don't see that now, but the ladies here will tell you it's true and they don't lie......)

No, this is a proper concern.

In the USA, if you're 18 years old and only a junior in HS, you've either flunked a grade or two or been held back a few years. It is much more common to be 16 or 17 and a junior in American schools.

What is the story with your age, Mikashikyo?

I was one of the oldest in my graduating class in HS and I didn't turn 18 til a few months before I graduated 12th grade.
