Lost one of my grandfathers, 2005

Survived Y2K, marked one year on present job, took son to meet his grandparents in China for the first time.

Went on long trip abroad to several countries.

Third grade, got into trouble at school because we were supposed to perform in a small group a scene from a US President’s life. We were assigned Kennedy and the only thing any of us knew about Kennedy was he was assassinated. Apparently 3rd graders depicting Kennedy getting iced was ‘inappropriate’. I feel like we were set up to fail.

Quit my corporate job.

Like most people it was a very mundane year where nothing with nothing really happened.

Moved into a 120 year old Victorian home that needed a shocking amount of work

Opened a new hotel, being on an opening crew is super fun. Did it twice.

Turned eight. Got socks for my birthday.

Took a week off work and landscaped my property (we had moved into a new house a year before)

Was really considering starting my existence, but took a few years off to find myself first.

Had to write an essay about how alcohol was evil to stop from getting kicked out of the Dare program because a bunch of us were going to get kicked out for having Binaca mint spray which contained alcohol at grade school. You know, obviously we were all going to get plastered off of a few sprays on the tongue.
