Sound alert when receive BB

So today, randomly out of the blue my phone started making a notification sound when I get a bb. It's not the normal notification sound I have so it scared the crap out of me at first. I went to settings on lush and clarified that I have already selected to have no sound notifications, but it's happening even when I have my phone on silent, which it generally is.

Please help!!! Before my phone gIves away my secret lush life!

go to Settings on your lush page, scroll down to Sounds and make sure none of the boxes is checked. let me know if it's still an issue afterwards. (personally, i am trying to figure out how to make mine sound like an orgasm when i get BBed, but yeah, might not work well in places like libraries or churches).

The first time someone BB'd me I jumped out of my skin. Good job I was alone at the time! Until someone helped me out with it I had to mute the laptop altogether.

My phone is on mute, but lush has decided to over rule my phone settings !

Technically I can't understand this. Has your phone perhaps got options for the mute? Perhaps you only have calls on mute? If you for example play a video on YT with the phone on mute does that work?

In Setting and Privacy there are just 3 options for sounds:

Poke
Chat rooms
Private/Online chat

The sound for a BB/Instant message cannot be supressed.

Are you sure you have the three options above unchecked/off?

If you have a headphone jack, best thing you can do, if all else fails is plug in the headphone and the sound will go to the headphones.
Other than that, hope that helps?
