This has been reported earlier but just happened again.

I was doing a few final edits before submitting a story. when I hit the save edits button, I was sent to the new stories window instead of staying in the edit window. this has intermittently happened before.

I immediately went back to the story I was editing to check if my edits had been saved. they hadn't. I haven't been using the built-in editor for major edits but this seemed to be relatively minor so I did them there.

Oops, it didn't work. Again.

The primary indication of a problem seems to be being dumped out of the editor and into the new stories window.

I was puzzled the first few times this happened to me, but now know to look for it. Exactly as you describe, it doesn't always save the updates and I have to go back and try again.

I had the same problem today. Waited an hour and a half trying to save and submit a story. Finally switched browsers and it went right in. 😕

I sometimes have trouble saving drafts and, as I type directly to Lush it is sometimes very frustrating. I did, however, just have a completely new experience.

I had started a new story and had typed 270 words so I decided it was about time to save draft. I clicked on 'save draft' and nothing seemed to happen, just the timer thing going round and round for a while.

I decided that it was not going to get saved so believed that I would have to start the story all over again so I came out and went back to Home and clicked on 'Write your own story.'

I was amazed to see that I had a story 'auto saved' so none of the 270 words was lost. I then clicked on 'save draft' and it was saved immediately.

Is auto-saving a new thing? If it is, it is very useful.

Glad you didn't lose any of your story but still, best to use another source as back up, just in case it doesn't save on lush.

That makes sense but I will probably stick to the frequent saving of drafts in the knowledge that, just occasionally, I might have to retype a chunk of the story. The 'auto save' that occurred today is intriguing though.

Thank you for your interest.

Ok, just in case you come back asking why it didn't auto save(Lush is forever updating for us to have a better experience)

I think we all wished you'll save writing elsewhere so you don't have to retype story over and over again.

After 286 and a bit stories, I doubt if I will change now. Not through choice anyway. Paul
