So both the American and Canadian Olympic teams recently came out with their uniforms for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.

The USA went for this look...



Not bad. Kind of looks like the outfit the bad guy would wear in an 80s ski movie. It's Ralph Lauren, so this is to be expected.

Canada, on the other hand went for whatever the fuck this is....

Well, here in London, Ontario we call it the "hitting the Ceeps on a Friday night" look. Would not call it gross but not what I would expect of an Olympic uniform.

The American one is OK, if you're sailing a yacht. Too much white though. It looks like Nautica did the design.

The Canadian one I actually kind of like except they need to ditch the jean jacket in favour of something more practical. The Canada flag in red should be on the shirt in place of the black (the flag is red and white, not in the colours of the Vegas Knights ffs.) I love the informality of the designs on the jacket.

The American uniform looks like they should break down into dancing to The Village People's 'In the Navy'. Way too much white, very impractical.

The Canadian uniform looks like a geeky kid trying too hard to be cool. It's disjointed and looks like it was pieced together from The Salvation Army Thrift store.

was anyone else thinking "batman" when they first say the Canadian tee? Also, i thought it was totally a village people navy uni at first glance at the US. as much as I like funky, yeah, the Canadian one has to go.
