I like the tankinis, mostly out of practicality. It's very difficult to find a true one piece that fits me well; being tall, and curvy, I haven't found a one piece in years that fit correctly. Tankinis can be mixed and matched, leave a little bit to the imagination, and do fit me correctly.

Although I'm short-ish, having ridiculously large bosoms can make wrestling into a one piece in the clammy discomfort of a swimming pool changing room feel like a regular ritual of torture, so for regular swims at home, tankinis are practical, modest, comfortable and as Hera points out can be mixed and matched.

On holidays I can show off my extensive bikini collection (watch out world!! ;) and there is also a practical factor as I would feel too warm in a one piece, even if I could manage wrestle myself into it!

I agree with the concept of her posture, but also, how attractive she is to my eyes,and the print. I'm not a fan of prints personally, so if she's comfortable in what she's wearing, attractive, and it's a solid color, then I'll happily gawk and enjoy the view just the same.
