Depends totally on whether they can pull it off. I mean Johnny Depp WITHOUT a beard looks like a creep but with... well, whole other story. And Patrick Grant off of the sewing bee? Can you imagine him clean shaven? I would cry.

A small amount of GROOMED stubble is just on the acceptance level for me apart from that facial hair is a no no.

If a guy does grow a beard then he must keep it trimmed and tidy.
As a teenl I got beard rash from guys who had not shaved for a day or two. That turned me off kissing and inviting them downstairs.

No Santa/DD beards need apply here, but I do love some facial hair on a main. I like the heavy scruff as it softens, and that's what my other half is rocking right now. He keeps it trimmed, but I do enjoy the little bit of length he keeps on his chin. It's about an inch, and gives me enough to tug when I want to change his "direction".
Some men can rock the beards, some men can't. My ex looked much more mature with a beard, and had a baby-face without. I had another ex, he just had the goatee. Until him, I didn't think I liked facial hair. Now, I love it.

I think it depends on the man. I find facial hair very attractive on certain men and other not at all. And some men look odd without a beard. As long and it isn't out of control and crazy it can very super sexy!!!

I think manicured ones are sexy. That really low and lined look is a turn on.

On many a "date" with my wife, she'd pull me aside and tell me "... I want your beard to meet my beard!". Sure, I'd accommodate her just as quickly as possible.

Full bushy beards seem to be all the rage with the young hipster crowd in London. In most cases, they look bloody ridiculous. Not a good look, guys. Short trimmed beards can be cool, though.

seriously though, beards NEED upkeep .... hedges need trimmings .... so do beards!
