personally, I can't write immediately after some good fun. I suspect this will be more of an issue among men than women. thoughts?
When writing, I don't masturbate or climax, otherwise I'm losing the will to write the scene. I'm going to feel the excitement, even have some physical effects other than an erection, but I do not do anything so I keep this state of mind alive. Call it intellectual masturbation if you like, but most of the time, I don't even finish myself after writing. I still have a similar satisfaction as if I have climaxed, but generated by the story I just wrote. When writing Among the Stars, I haven't masturbated much to it, writing it was the only satisfaction I needed. It's only since I've started reviewing and submitting it that I'm actually taking the time to appreciate it physically.
Trust people to be themselves...
Yes, I won't lie.
Usually, the longer I go without busting a nut, the nastier the sex I write will be.
I'd say that I can write the non-sexual stuff better after a orgasm because if I'm horny, I keep racing to the "good parts". Sexual stuff, on the other hand, works better if I can get myself aroused by it. With my recharge time now measured in hours, if not days, it can take me a while to get aroused again after an orgasm so writing sex tends to flag a bit if I've gotten off recently.
You can take that euphoria from that orgasm and fully detail it in one of your stories.
For science. Watch different genres of porn or read random subject matter on lush and try to capture that orgasm in written form.
For me, it is easier to write after. My mind is clear and not going in a million different directions and I am more focused.
Interesting, guess I'll try writing the expositional stuff if I'm drained lol. Thanks for the comments everyone
Interesting question. I've never tried writing immediately after an orgasm, I'm just not in the right frame of mind. I noted Carlton's comment about things getting filthier as the personal tension builds. I hadn't thought about it before but that's true for me too. I have a few drafts that should never see the light of day. I blame the pandemic. I'm a nice boy.
I dunno, but l know l sure can't write while climaxing.
It sure is hard to write erotic stuff after an orgasm. I need to write stuff that arouses me rather than just churning out words. If I have recently cum in sex or masturbation I guess my testosterone drops and I can’t easily get aroused or write erotica. But when my cock starts to tingle again ....
Of course, it's harder. I don't know how many times I've said that I'll keep going after orgasm but can't. I don't know how many times I've fantasized about, and said that I will lick my cum off her breasts but once the orgasm happens, the idea loses all its potency and sounds gross. Same with writing. When the testosterone has been expended, my writing lacks the edgy edge I like it to have. I have to wait a bit to get it back.
