Why would a guy sit up late at night watching porn when he could get into bed with a woman and actually have sex?
With my ex it was because she used sex as a way to manipulate me.

Thanks for responding. I don't use it for anything but love making and pleasure. Can let him know I will be there waiting and nothing, an hour later he is in there jacking off to porn instead of getting the real thing.
I would think that any man who watches porn rather than have sex, has a much greater problem than we can see on the surface
Your question is flawed. You are assuming that he can have sex. I have been in a relationship were sex was very limited. I mean like the planets had to be in perfect alignment..

So I would revise your questions..... What causes a man to feel as though he has no chance for sex and instead uses porn as his sexual outlet.

My opinion is worth what I charge for it.

Have a great night everyone.

Ok, He is perfectly healthy, we have sex about once a week if I am lucky, but I want more and have let him know I want more. I am just wondering if after being together all these years (we have been married for 18 years, guess I should have stated that, if he is just getting more satisfaction from watching strangers than having actual sex
Ok well with all that information I would ask him what it is that he gets from porn? Communication is going to be the key to solving this problem. You can try to ask him what he needs or wants that he isn't getting from you. But I don't think that will work, I say this as I am a guy and I don't think it would work on me. However, I would suggest that the next time you want sex, just take it. Don't ask him for it just take it. Even if he is watching porn. Don't get made just grab his cock and take what you need. Good luck.

I really dont know Kit.

I have never found porn arousing i think gifs are sexier but some men ^^^ not mentioning names can become addicted to porn and im told it's a very true addiction and a hard one to kick.

My guess would be he/she is watching something the one he/she could go to bed with wont do or he/she thinks he/she wont do or ..he/she is addicted to porn ^^

Thanks Kiera. I don't know either. I am to the point where it is more than hurting my feelings. I like to think I am not totally repulsive to the point of he doesn't want it from me. If it is an addiction, I really don't know how to fight it.

Because he can't stand said woman.

Your avatar is insulting. It makes me gag. The threat of vomiting after seeing it is very real.

You may want to build a better love making scenario, cooking together, eating together, watching films together, reading together etc.

The physical act of sexual intercourse, without foreplay, can be a huge anti-climax. Try to build a strong relationship where you yearn for each other. Just remember:

You've done plenty of gagging and vomiting sucking off whoever it is you had to, to get those RR's and EP's on your stories.

I'd imagine you'd be pretty used to it by now.

Maybe his equipment won't function without porn .

Your probably fucking right. I dont do anything for him but work, clean house, cook, pay the bills, and suck his cock. How could he stand to be around me.

Try to explore other aspects of the relationship...

Were things like this from the beginning, or was there a magical sparkle once upon a time?...
It's possible it could be a health reason. He would be the person to ask. Hope you get it sorted out. Best of luck, sweetie.

Have you tried watching the porn together?

There could be lots of reasons why a man watches porn instead of having sex with his girl.

Maybe she is boring in bed? Maybe he wants something different, so rather than cheat, he gets his rocks off to porn. Unless he is never having sex with his girl, it's not that big of a deal. He and even she need to learn to communicate with one another. If one wants something or to try something new, they should voice it.

Now, if she is using sex to control him, that is flat out wrong. Which can be understandable in why he is watching porn. No one should use sex as a weapon, and a lot of women (some men too) do this all too often.

I personally don't get all that turned on to porn, but I do watch it from time to time. But if I have the choice of having sex with my man or watching it, it will always be my man.

Pretty much nailed it. Could be a couple of reasons. It sounds selfish but sometimes a guy wants an easy orgasm and instead of initiating and then giving bad sex just to get his rocks off, it's way easier to just masturbate.

Also, even if you're his world. You're not Asian or a redhead or a lesbian and there's not three of you and you don't like sticky loads on your face and you don't own that type of underwear or whatever the hell he wants to see in porn, you might not fit the bill just at that time. What a wonderful world we live in when if we want we can watch redhead black lesbian threesomes to get our thrill. It's not that a guy finds his woman boring or wants something else in real life. Sometimes a guy just wants to cum over something that's not passionate sex with his significant other.

Also, and I know this one from way too much experience... "I could wank... Or I could go in there and have sex!" *goes in, initiates* "I'm not in the mood." *gets in bed because it's kind of rude to say I'm going for a wank. Sits there thinking 'I should have just jacked off'.

Just started to make my very first story in to a series about 3 years later. Here's where it began!
Porn comes without pressure. I'm not saying you are pressuring your husband, but he might feel that way.

From conversations I've had with a lot of my female friends who are in, or have been in, long-term relationships, men's sex drive is lower than women's. You might think that doesn't apply here because he's still getting his jollies from watching porn, but I don't think a desire to orgasm is entirely correlated with one's desire to have sex.

I guess, thinking more about it, there may be an aspect of that hormonal teenage boy psychology where men think they should have to "earn" sex, because they may have felt that they had to work so hard for it in the past. When it's handed to them on a platter, as it were, it is perhaps less desirable. Maybe men feel more masculine if they can be the instigators of the sexual encounter. It's a shitty reason, but it's plausible.

I would contradict your female friends. I'm close to 60 and, even though I've gone through prostate cancer therapy, I still want sex with my woman.

Kitty40 - my first suggestion, sit him down and talk to him. Ask him what he gets from porn that you aren't providing. Perhaps it is nothing you are or aren't doing. He may not be open initially, but if you keep talking to him, maybe he'll just open up. Others have suggested watching it with him. That would allow you and him to masturbate together. It could even move to where you are playing with his manhood while he is sliding fingers inside you, which could translate into mutual satisfaction. From there you could both explore each others fantasies. Maybe he has one he's ashamed to tell you. That is something only open and honest communication from both sides can get through. You have to be willing to wait patiently for him to open up about his sexual needs and fantasies.

Lately it's bc marriage and life have taken the zest out of passion.

Yet even before that. It's bc I am an asshole guy who has a fear of commitment. I like having desires and needs for more women, more sex, more scenarios that was I possess. I like to escape and control 100% of the fantasy and masturbation itself. Slow teasing...starting and stopping, control when I climax and to what thought or image. I can't control when I climax with a woman, I mean there's a certain point where she hits all the right buttons and it's time. With masturbating, I can prolong it as long as I deem necessary. Lol

You would disagree with them, not contradict them. And actually it was my observation based on their actual experiences, so you would disagree with me.

And I didn't say their partners didn't want to have sex with them, only that they didn't want to have sex as frequently. So I just don't really "get" your comment.

Well, I tried to be diplomatic and say contradict. I sit here corrected. I only caution making generalized statements, as most of the older men I know (many went through the same therapy I did) have a high sex drive. All of them are much older than me, with only a couple around the 65 age range. The rest are in their 70s and up. That's not to say all men or even a majority of men. Just the majority of the older men I know.

My friends are all in their twenties, as are their partners. I never said anything about older men.
Lots of reasons. Maybe he's more turned on by the porn than having actual sex. Maybe it's some underlying relationship issues. Perhaps it's performance anxiety. Maybe he feels emasculated.

If you want to know why your guy in particular doesn't wanna have sex with you, then ask your guy...doing so would probably yield better results.
