So guys, what do we girls get to do that you wish you could do? I know for me with men, I just wish I could roll out of bed like my bf does, jump in the shower, put my clothes on, brush my hair and walk out the door. I wish it was that easy for me! Shit, I'm still putting my makeup on as he's shutting the door behind him. Unfair!! lol jk, no forget jk! I'm jealous. lmao!

Yeah that's pretty cool.

I think I'm jealous of the ability to play 'damsel in distress.' If my car tire goes flat, I've got to change it myself. Not that I couldn't do it, but it would be nice to have a boyfriend to do it for me.

Don't believe everything that you read.

I think women still have more license to display their emotions and I could do with more of that. Guys are still socialized to "be strong" and "keep it inside". Fer instance, I'm a bit sensitive and those close to me know it but I still feel uncomfortable tearing up in front of others (e.g. at a movie that affects me emotionally).
I wish that I could have an orgasm like women's that can be toe curling eye rolling amazing. Or even just half that amazing and I would be more than happy.
I thought about this for about 10 seconds and then came to the conclusion; There is absolutely nothing that girls get to do, that I wish I could do.

I suppose that they have a gaggle of girlfriends, that possibly it could be sexually charged if I was in the midst of that. Reality is, all they probably do is yak about girl stuff, clothes, makeup, knitting and drama etc, so no that does not interest me

wow yeah, no drama, for sure

So uh huh; nothin at all
Just snap fingers and have someone go down on me.

Multiple orgasms for starters. I could not imagine how messy things would get if guys could do that. Second would be bisexuality. At least where I live, its more acceptable for a woman to be bi than us guys.
snap fingers and a person making you orgasm
I tend to grow my hair out and actually like it that way but I often need to cut or trim it every few years (if not every few months) to look presentable for work and family gatherings. Right now it's well past my shirt collar in the back, just past my jawline to the front sides and I constantly hear how I should cut it. I'm definitely jealous that women get to grow their hair ridiculously long and do all kinds of things with it that are impossible to do without some serious length, like undercut designs.

I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?

Its your hair, why can't you grow it how you want to? Pull it back into a ponytail for work if they dont like it. Who made the rule that guys can't have long hair?

yep, that's all we yak about. girl stuff, clothes, make up, knitting (knitting?), and drama. *rolls eyes*

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

change my own flats, thank you very much. all boyfriends are good for is sex, and really, they're not even all that good at that.

Who made the rule that guys can't have long hair?

Various managers that I've had over the years have deemed long hair on guys to be unprofessional. Some customers and clients, I suppose, consider it to be unpresentable. A few coworkers or friends or family will occasionally make 'hilarious' comments at conversational level and unflattering comments sotto voce.

True, nobody made a rule that guys need to keep their hair short but it definitely feels like there's something in the aether dictating it.

I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?

For me, it would have to be the way you get to dress and show off your body. Skin so soft and smooth and that you don't have hair all over your body. The fact that you can wear tops that show off your cleavage is fascinating to me.
Those orgasms. That you get multiple ones, and that they can last SO long, and be SO intense. I am envious.

Having boobs is pretty cool too.

Yep, the shorter the better seems to be the rule. For whatever reason, it is engrained in our culture that guys with short (or no, I see a lot of bullet heads at IT conferences) hair look "professional". Which, of course, leaves us with the scenario that if Jesus showed up and actually looked the way he is usually portrayed (though he likely didn't look like that IRL), he would be dismissed as a "hippie" or whatever the 21st century equivalent happens to be. Though I do find even women in the higher echelons of the corporate world rarely have really long hair. Nape of the neck at the longest and often short and permed.

It is that easy for you too, if you choose for that. Don't do your hair and make-up for others. Same for shaving your legs and armpits. Do it because you want to do it for yourself, or don't do it.

Among hardcore IT nerds you'll still find a lot with long hair though, especially among the open source crowd.

Very few of those end up in senior corporate positions, though, until they take sheers to that ponytail. Not saying that's right. I'm sure some of them are quite capable of being competent managers and execs, but that's the reality of the workplace, at least around here. That said, I imagine a lot of them aren't interested in the corporate IT world and stick to game studios and startups where hangups about "professionalism" are less prevalent or even skewed in their favour.

I agree that most probably don't fancy a "corporate" position, but who really does?
Btw, senior doesn't necessarily mean management of course.

In my corporate days I had long hair, usually in a ponytail, sometimes just all over the place (my hair seeks maximum entropy and when long can get pretty wild). I was in IT and they let us get away with a lot. I dressed in jeans and flannel too (I did get chastised once for wearing a Mets jersey by a visiting honcho). I cut it right before I left there and now, working in an acedemic environment, I have nice calm short hair. I dress a little nicer too.
