So guys, what do we girls get to do that you wish you could do? I know for me with men, I just wish I could roll out of bed like my bf does, jump in the shower, put my clothes on, brush my hair and walk out the door. I wish it was that easy for me! Shit, I'm still putting my makeup on as he's shutting the door behind him. Unfair!! lol jk, no forget jk! I'm jealous. lmao!

Don't believe everything that you read.
I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?

I tend to grow my hair out and actually like it that way but I often need to cut or trim it every few years (if not every few months) to look presentable for work and family gatherings. Right now it's well past my shirt collar in the back, just past my jawline to the front sides and I constantly hear how I should cut it. I'm definitely jealous that women get to grow their hair ridiculously long and do all kinds of things with it that are impossible to do without some serious length, like undercut designs.

I thought about this for about 10 seconds and then came to the conclusion; There is absolutely nothing that girls get to do, that I wish I could do.
I suppose that they have a gaggle of girlfriends, that possibly it could be sexually charged if I was in the midst of that. Reality is, all they probably do is yak about girl stuff, clothes, makeup, knitting and drama etc, so no that does not interest me
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Yeah that's pretty cool.
I think I'm jealous of the ability to play 'damsel in distress.' If my car tire goes flat, I've got to change it myself. Not that I couldn't do it, but it would be nice to have a boyfriend to do it for me.

Who made the rule that guys can't have long hair?

Various managers that I've had over the years have deemed long hair on guys to be unprofessional.

Yep, the shorter the better seems to be the rule. For whatever reason, it is engrained in our culture that guys with short (or no, I see a lot of bullet heads at IT conferences) hair look "professional". Which, of course, leaves us with the scenario that if Jesus showed up and actually looked the way he is usually portrayed (though he likely didn't look like that IRL), he would be dismissed as a "hippie" or whatever the 21st century equivalent happens to be. Though I do find even women in the higher echelons of the corporate world rarely have really long hair. Nape of the neck at the longest and often short and permed.

Among hardcore IT nerds you'll still find a lot with long hair though, especially among the open source crowd.

Very few of those end up in senior corporate positions, though, until they take sheers to that ponytail. Not saying that's right. I'm sure some of them are quite capable of being competent managers and execs, but that's the reality of the workplace, at least around here. That said, I imagine a lot of them aren't interested in the corporate IT world and stick to game studios and startups where hangups about "professionalism" are less prevalent or even skewed in their favour.

It is that easy for you too, if you choose for that. Don't do your hair and make-up for others. Same for shaving your legs and armpits. Do it because you want to do it for yourself, or don't do it.
