I think they'd deserve respect if they remained virgins out of principles. If they are because of self-confidence issues, then no. It's not respect they need. At least not from others. They have to respect themselves and learn to love themselves more. But someone standing on principles, whatever they are, is deserving of respect. Unless the principles are immoral, that is.

"It" being their decision to be a virgin, not for being virgins.
We should always respect a persons decision, even if you may have made a different decision.
