43 years ago at 30 years of age I married my current wife. She was 35 and had 4 kids and still had a body to turn heads and cause sprained necks. I thought the pattern of stars and strips of tan lines was one of the sexiest things I'd ever seen.

I think tan lines are sexy on a guy. On a woman maybe the bottom half but not the top.
My perspective may be a bit odd here. I would rather they did not have them, though I find a light tan line on the bottom can be kind of interesting. However, my solution would be SPF 60 sunscreen and less tanning. While I like dark skin, natural colour beats baked every time and if your natural colour is pale, then let it be so.
I prefer no tan lines myself. Spent some time last year on holiday and we sunbathed naked. Not only was it exhilarating but I thought it looked nicer to have an all over tan.

Tan lines are fine if there right on the edge of showing to much. Flip flop tan lines I think are a turn on. Otherwise no tan lines but a perfect placed "heart" in a spot only your lover can see is the best tan line!
