My profile just says it simply. If you want to get to know me then ask. I hate the idea of people judging me based on what I put in my profile, and I prefer to get to know them too. It has nothing to do with privacy or not wanting anyone to know about me. However, I do agree that the members who don't have pics or anything are rather annoying.
