First off, any guy that says the usual, "I've never had to." is a douche bag. There aren't many people that actually have to. You do it because you want to. You do it to get what you want, when you want & with no strings attached.

No, I have never paid a woman (or man) for sex. Firstly, it would be a waste of my money, and secondly I would be afraid of catching something. Having said that, I agree with others that have said it's a choice, and I have no problem with those who do.

Most men won't admit it. They think it's admitting that they're somehow undesirable. Faced with the opportunity, very few men I know would turn it down if they could afford to pay for sex and if they felt they wouldn't get caught by the law or the wife/GF/SO.

I certainly would LOVE to have sex with a woman/women that demanded all the money they would ever get from me just for a sexual encounter.

Sex is a wonderful thing and except for a few magical men that almost all women seem to want, most of us go around wishing we had a lot more sex and to have it a lot more often than we do.

Prostitution is forbidden in almost all of the US and public humiliation and even jail time are the client and professional sex worker's fear. This is ridiculous. Those laws are archaic and uneducated but it will likely never change here because women don't want to release their sexual stranglehold on men.

I know I sound bitter and I'm really not. Just disappointed and frustrated like the average American male.

Prostitution should be regulated, taxed, and treated like any other profession. After all.... It's really the oldest profession in the world. ;)

As to the original question. No... I never have but wish I could without the fear of criminal prosecution or disease. The lack of prostitution is undoubtedly one of the major reasons for a lot of the perversion running rampant in this country.

In most of the world it is quite common for a man to have a wife and a mistress (prostitute) that he pays for sex by "keeping her" in the things she needs. It's sometimes illegal but largely ignored.

Now I'm reading that a lot of young college girls are turning to "sugar daddies" to help them with college expenses. Of course this is thinly veiled prostitution. I see nothing wrong with this but the law frowns heavily on it and from what I understand is doing it's level best to stop it.
