I love that my wife and I can goof around and not take ourselves too seriously. Being able to laugh together creates a sense of closeness and intimacy. I also agree that it's a sign of intelligence that we can spontaneously crack jokes with each other. But more than that, I think it's been invaluable to our relationship to be able to diffuse tension and approach difficult subjects with lightness and humour.
