While many people out there aren't emotional, those who are could kindly share how they feel deep down when their favorite emotional song comes on. Well for me I'd say "New day" by celine dion,it reminds me of my beloved dad whom I lost a year ago
The soundtrack to Titanic makes me cry every time.
'Gabriele's Oboe' from The Mission & Love Theme from Romeo & Juliet, Henry Mancini
Time to say goodbye gets to me every time .. sometimes I play it on YouTube when I am down which isnt very healthy/uplifting I admit.

I'm not sure why this question was asked in Ask the Gals, but I love the instrumental part of Is There Anybody Out There, by Pink Floyd.

Here's an edited version that plays this part two times in a row, without the introduction. I absolutely love the video too:

And as a totally unconventional choice, I'd go with Big Bang, by Bad Religion.

It speaks about the fact that the evolution of the human race might as well become its downfall, hence the metaphor Big Bang, Big Crunch; if you're into astronomy, you'll get it.

Believe it or not, this song made me cry quite a few times, as many other songs from Bad Religion.

Big Bang - Bad Religion (1989)

This isn't another new fashion
Or a new wave plastic trend
Everybody's searching for something
But in the mean time let's all just pretend

I've got this feeling
And I don't know what it is
This room is overcrowded, man
And I need air to breath!

Big bang, big crunch
You know there's no free lunch
Kneel down and pray
Here comes your Judgment Day
Big crunch, you know
It's going to be quite a show

What goes around always comes around...

A million hopeless faces
Dwell within protective walls
All waiting for a moment in life
When they can heed the clarion call

And it's all so oppressive
My mind feels like a sieve
This city is overcrowded, man
And I need room to live!

Big bang, big crunch
You know there's no free lunch
Kneel down and pray
Here comes your Judgment Day
Big crunch, you know
It's going to be quite a show

What goes around always comes around, yeah...

I think of the countless shadows
That have all come and gone
All suffering in the notion
Of better things to come

If you share these beliefs
You know I wish you well
Because there's no room left in heaven
And there's sure no room in hell

Big bang, big crunch
You know there's no free lunch
Kneel down and pray
Here comes your Judgment Day
Big crunch, you know
It's going to be quite a show

What goes around always comes around...
my most emotional experience was when I saw the Phantom of the Opera. I left the theatre trembling. Not just the music, but the story, of sad. mad, rejected genius who give up the woman he loved, because he knows it will only hurt her in the end. I was tremendously moved.
An almost perfect melding of instrumental music and story on film is the old Western "The Magnificent Seven." Hard to top that, in my opinion.
“It's nice sometimes to open up the heart a little and let some hurt come in. It proves you're still alive.”
