I definitely love when someone does so. However, I do not expect it to happen. Especially since chivalry isn't a concept forced into males minds in my generation. It is on rare occasion that it actually happens to me. But when it does I am definitely overjoyed. smile I am perfectly capable of doing it myself, but I believe it is the thought that counts, and if someone doesn't mind opening a door for me, I feel it is very considerate of them to do so.

Yes I find it attractive and very courteous. I wish more guys would do it.

I told my daughters not to go out with boys who don't open doors for them. I'm sure they will ignore me and go out with thuggish motorcycle riding neanderthals, partly just to piss me off. But I agree, it is a tiny but telling detail in a man.

I do love that gesture- to me it is the sign of a gentleman, sadly a rare breed these days!

I think it is very nice when someone opens a door or holds my chair, it shows a lot of respect and class. BUT I really hate when I see a woman wait in a car for her man(or woman) to walk around and open her car door before she will get out. To me that is taking it too far!!

I like to open doors for ladies. However, it pisses me off when women fail to acknowledge simple gestures of kindness. How difficult is it to say thanks? Do you think that every man wants you? When in a relationship, I do like to open doors and do all the nice little gestures at first. however, it has been my experience that this too usually gets lost in the business of our lives, so I eventually stop when people fail to recognize the effort. It`s about mutual respect for one another and recognizing and appreciating them always.
