sorry, i just had to post this

A man boards an airplane, and takes his seat. As he settles in, he glances up and sees the most beautiful woman boarding the plane. He soon realizes she is heading straight towards his seat. A wave of nervous anticipation washes over him. Lo and behold, she takes the seat right beside his. Anxious to strike up a conversation, he blurts out, "So where are you flying to today?"

She turns and smiles, and says, "To the annual Nymphomaniac Convention, in Chicago."

He swallows hard, and is instantly CRAZED with excitement. Here's the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen, sitting RIGHT next to him, and she's going to a meeting of nymphomaniacs. Struggling to maintain his outward cool, he calmly asks, "And what's your role at this convention?"

She flips her hair back, turns to him, locks onto his eyes and says, "Well, I try to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality."

"Really" he says, swallowing hard. "And what myths are those?"

She explains, "Well, one popular myth is that African American men are the most well-endowed when, in fact, it is the Native American Indian who is most likely to possess this trait. Another popular myth is that Frenchmen are the best lovers, when actually it is men of Jewish descent who romance women best, on average."

"Very interesting," the man responds.

Suddenly, the woman becomes very embarrassed, and blushes. "I'm sorry," she says, "I feel so awkward discussing this with you, and I don't even know your name."

The man extends his hand and replies, "Tonto... Tonto Goldstein."

A nymphomaniac is a girl who wants more sex than I do.

I agree with KailaLynn, it is a condition that is beyond control, beyond need. It is a compulsion and yes part of the condition is the lack of true pleasure from sex or the ability to have a lasting relationship with their partners. They can not help themselves and a true nympho will take a chance for sex above all else, even personal safety. I do not believe anyone on here is a true nympho, talking and typing here would take away from the real act and they would be out looking for that, We are all to so extent nymphos on here but it is a choosen condition for us, we enjoy it, talking about it, watching it and reading about it. The problem is the lack of control to stop.

and rocco, I got my list of names from this thread, did you

Do I put sex above all else in my life---no. Do I feel the need to have a minimum of 2 orgasms a day, YES! I love sex. I love the feeling of an orgasm ripping thru my body. I think about sex VERY OFTEN and will pleasure myself if no one else is around to "Scratch the itch" for me. Am I a nympho or am I just very sexual?

I define nymphomania is more than just the desire, the urge for sex. It is craving it and obtaining it at all costs (IMHO), and THAT is not me...

I want to cum daily as much as possible and I do, but would never consider myself a nymphomaniac...

Also agree with KailaLynn.

Ive dealt with it now, but in my early twenties it ruined me. I ruined my dream career, lost friends, became depressed and ended up a boarder-line alcoholic. There's no getting away from it, it doesn't matter who it is or where it is....when it grips you, you just have to deal with it no matter what!

I'm not a nymph if you read the medical definition.

But I have been called a Nymph quite often.
And I have periods that I feel a bit like one ;)

With periods my sexdrive is higher than I want, then it cán be tiresome at times....or just not handy;
Sometimes I can't concentrate on my work then, I really need to get off so I can be back to normal LOL.
That is not handy when I'm in the middle of a meeting for example, my boss is talking endlessly to me and ALL I can think of is sex hahaha.
I think my brain works quite similar as the male brain

I actually can laugh about myself if I have such a period....and of course, I also enjoy it because I just love sex...
I'm used to it by now and know they will go over to a less intense, but still high sexdrive.

I don't think i'm a nympho, just a woman with normal healthy sexual desires and appetites. I have sex with my lover about every 10 days or so, wish it could be every 2-3 days, and I self-pleasure about 5 times a week--sometimes with one of two online friends I've made here that we talk each other through mutual orgasm. My husband is in his own world where everyone conspires against him and he has to be cruel to defend himself against the world, so i long ago stopped touching him & have separate bedrooms ... so now I get my sex when & where I can, with a lover i have outside our marriage. If I were a nympho i think i would be getting sex with everyone I could anywhere and anytime i could, and that's NOT me. I'm 52 and have been with 13 men total.

I don’t qualify as a nymphomaniac. I don’t always derive pleasure from sex (or at least not at first) but I do derive pleasure from giving in to someone else’s persistence and as a result I’ve had sex or taken part in other sexual acts to please or pacify the needs and urges of someone I’ve flirted too much with and felt duty bound to give in to them (mostly men but also with a few women).

This could be considered as giving in to an itch as it’s a scenario that occurs frequently and a role I get a kick from playing out but if there is no sexual aggressor to seduce me I’ll not lose any sleep over it.

No, at least I don't think of myself as such. I enjoy sex, I am usually choosy about who I enjoy sex with, I have fun with a girl in the flat above mine a couple of times a week, a girlfriend I see occasionally for sexy fun and I have my faithful Battery Boys in my bedside cabinet in case of urgent need. lol. Not to mention any times I am out clubbing or with a group and I get attention from somebody new that I enjoy.

I've always felt nymphomaniac was a derogatory term used by those too busy judging other peoples' actions. And, yes, I suppose that some of those sort would think me a nympho. But it is not so uncontrollable to be catagorized as nymphomania. We all daydream. Some of us just have a one track mind.

I agree with Suezq. I think the term has had a negative connotation. Or been applied to young. nubile girls. I prefer the term insatiable, because I am that way on occasion.
