It takes a while but you soon get to know the warning signs. As a man I find the women I engage in normal conversation are the most "real" and I've got several who I know for sure are 100% the correct gender if you catch my drift. You can never be sure but just don't rush into anything.

It goes like this: in society 2% of women consider themselves lesbian and 3% bisexual. That's just 5% of women that consider themselves non-straight. Here it's 73%. And, yes, I researched it. Ladies and gentlemen, it is nonsense. In most cases they are men posing as women in order to get with les or bi women. The joke's on them: lots of other men had the same idea so all they get with is other fakes...

Indeed it is

Well, sometimes certain groups are like that.

In the close circle of real life friends I have, which numbers 13

2 Straight men (myself and one other)
1 Gay man
3 Bi-men

1 Straight woman
2 Lesbian women
4 Bi-women

So in our little group, 3 of 13 are straight - and one 1 of 7 of the women - that's 86% of the women I call close friends being at least bi.

You can't take society as a whole and plunk their numbers into a sub-set, such as we have here. It falls apart.

Until proven otherwise, I trust what the person puts in their profile as truth.

Same here. In my circle of real life friends the ratio is probably 80:20 bisexual to straight. In these cases - the 'bisexual' bit just means they've at least fooled around with a girl before - not necessarily had full relationships with both genders.

As for profiles here - it doesn't matter that much to me, but I probably wouldn't bother getting too chummy with someone if there were red flags. I'm not interested in cyber or anything, so as far as casual chat and laughs, I base it more on the vibe I get from them and whether there's something in common. I'm friends with both guys and girls here, so if you remove the cyber-element, it doesn't matter as much.

I'll admit that I do stay away from the bitchy "NO MEN" profiles that usually feature bikini/nude selfies ripped from amateur porn sites and overly sexed up profiles. I think I do have a decent "that's not a real girl" radar so I tend to keep those people at arm's length - but they're typically looking for sex-chat, so it's an obvious mismatch anyway.

My take on it is, if YOU want to try to use tis as a "dating" site, feel free. I'm here for the FANTASY aspect and don't much give a damn about the REALITY of the other person's identity! You enjoy YOUR fantasy I'll enjoy mine! And, some FEW INTELLIGENT INDIVIDUALS and I are happily enjoying them with one another...BECAUSE we KNOW it's fantasy and WILL REMAIN SO!

Very no.

But that's business as usual online.

I have had people wanting to confirm via messenger. They just want to hear your voice and make certain. That's one way to do it.

I take everything here at face value. But after a few conversations with someone (or sometimes just one convo), I'm pretty good with figuring out if they're lying about being a female or not. I have to say that I personally haven't come across any women on here pretending to be men (that I'm aware of). But I have come across quite a few men here masquerading as women. It's really easy to figure out. They pretend to be bisexual or lesbian to get their kinks out...and they usually want nothing to do with men, even on a casual friendship level.

Show me a lesbian/bisexual woman here who is hostile towards men without being provoked, and most likely you've got yourself a man. Is this always the case? Of course not. But usually it is.

But as far as looking at a profile and immediately not trusting the gender, I don't go that far. It takes a bit of interaction for my instincts to kick in.

=d> I agree with D and with Sandra .. the voice/conversation gives it away either immediately or over time.. and if u do cyber with them.. I think there is a difference in the way a woman makes love to a woman...
this is hard for me to substantiate not having bedded a male.. but sometimes .. on those rare cybering occasions [giggles].. it comes across just all wrong..

having interactions on facebook[god help me] with friends and others from here helps.. I am also on a dating site which has a lesbian section.. I don't think Lush rules allow me to advertise it .. but I would happily recommend it .. so far have only struck two female impersonators..

I do trust people , However I do tend to see how we get along first before any video or picture exchange takes place. Allso I have a friend on here who has been a great help to me explaining what to look for, Who to avoid , Plus when I get a reply how I can try and work out if its genuine or not. She has been a great help. I do find it a little bizzare that some males on here are trying to be females . That is the bit I don't get ? . Why not be honest and just enjoy the site for the amazing stories and wonderful people on here.

I do take the profile gender at face value, but it's the subsequent conversations that reveal that the "female" is really a male. Not too difficult, men and women tend to have different speaking and interaction styles. I won't name names, but I've defriended and blocked my share of "women".

I generally take people at face value - I am fairly trusting. When you take the time to learn about someone and know them as a person instead of just words on a screen then you know who they really are. Yes, some people here are great and others you find yourself fumbling for the mace just to spray your keyboard with after you talked to them. But it is like that anywhere.

I'm very leery of peoples profile pages, lots of time there not usually what there saying they are, and the only way you'll find out if the person is legiate is to cam with them to see for yourself...

Some times I do. You can tell a lot after you talk to them for awhile.

If you're reason is to make friends with someone you might like to meet in person then sure it's important to know who they are, at least as much as you can from a fantasy sex site, and so you don't end meeting some freaky killer person. The only 3 ways I know that might be 100% to know for sure is maybe Skype, live webphone, and simply meeting them in person.

Google Images isn't 100% and doesn't work good mostly because I've looked up people before and found out later for 100% sure that Google Images was wrong. 10 or more times I've used Google Images and either skyped or met them in person later. Some of them I still talk with had pics of them taken from their Twitter or where ever and was being used by someone else as a fake profile, Google Images shows that fake page too, and any other pages that could be there for many reason that aren't true. I used to have Twitter, Badoo pages, Phun Pages, and a few others and I finally just took all my pics off of them. I saw a pic of me once with boobs as big as soccer balls. I emailed them and showed them the real pic and requested they take it off their site, they did gladly.

Yahoo Messenger isn't 100% either because I found out later that the voice I was hearing was a guys sister, and you can use software now that will make your voice sound any way you wish.

But if you mostly just cyber sex, and if they are nice, treat you nice, they can mindfuck your fantasy really good, and they try to be a good friend to you here, then to me I don't care who they are. I'm not planning to ever see them anyway, except in my mind, so they can be whoever they want to be, it's a sex site.

If he is a male friend here, and he wants a 12 inch cock, well...guess what? I like big toys and I want my cyber lover to have a big cock too.

If she is a female friend here, and wants to have big tits, or fullfill her fantasy about using big toys that she really doesn't in her real life, than, Guess what? If I cyber sex with her than big toys is what she will have from me. Again doesn't matter so much to me since we will never meet except in our minds.

Have a nice day and Lushie fun...smiles

I look for the usual clues and search their pictures if they have any I can screen-shot, but normally it doesn't matter a whole lot, because I'm not here to cyber with anyone (until very recently), nor meet them irl.
