This is my exact problem. I try to stay two chapters ahead - so I'll write chapter seven in week seven, eight in week eight; but then post seven in week eight (if that makes sense). This gives me a week to sit on the chapter, and then go back and edit; or make changes based on the current chapter. But I can't resist posting in parts. I need that pressure and the thrill from the post and comments.
I try very hard not to let more than a week go by inbetween chapters.
