Are there certain elements that you like to include in your stories, because you find them lacking in most erotica? And why?
I'll go first:
Pubic hair!
I think too much porn and erotica features shaved pubic regions. I get it - you can see all the naughty bits when the bush is cleared away, but there's just something about pubic hair for me. I think it's more erotic and less pornographic when there's a natural-looking pubic region. Hard-core porn aside, think of the difference between erotic international and independent movies vs. the soft-core "Skinamax" type stuff -- characters connecting sensually rather than just boning to get the viewer off. I think the eroticism of viewing pubes makes the story more raw and real and natural and believable, the participants sharing their authentic spontaneous selves rather than doing a performance. I may be wrong, but I think women who shave their nether regions are way over-represented, that most of us just trim up a bit of the unsightliness but leave the rest.
So, I include pubic hair in most of my stories. I mean, if that hunky guy I met on the video calls this past month ever did come to my office and ravage me on the conference room table (hey, don't steal my idea!), I'd want him to be the kind of guy who was turned on by knowing I was reacting to him and only him, rather than always keeping myself "prepared" for any dude to come have a peek inside.
OMG, I ranted too much. I know I may be in the minority about this, but it's my thing. What's yours?
I'm so excited to have my "Spring Forward" competition entry published! A little tale about how some unexpected hostesses may just have guided a struggling couple to set things right with an intimate encounter on the Isle of Skye!

Shaved pussies make for great porn. But in real life, I love pubic hair: it's moist, it's fragrant, it's soft, it's tasty - and it means that reaching the pussy-lips, whether with tongue or cock, is a lovely mini-adventure, a journey of exploration.
Um probably constant movie references...that's what my stories are full of.
but I just put them in because I write how I think and talk....not because its not in other stories.
Urm. Mood swings, mental health and turbulent relationships but I'm writing a series so it's a bit different...
There are parts I've not included here due to the nature of them.
I don't really write that way. I tend to put in whatever turns me on and, more importantly, fits the story and characters. So I don't worry too much about what's common or not. There's stuff that's common in erotica (like BDSM) that isn't really my thing so I rarely use it unless I have a story idea that involves it. So looking at the OP's example, I have a lot of pubic hair because I prefer "natural", not because of whether or not others have it, but if the bare look fits the character or situation, bare they are.
Hey, I've written FIVE tentacle stories: 3 erotic, 2 horror!
I don't know how uncommon this is, but most of my erotica is in the context of a monogamous, mutually fulfilling relationship.
Trust people to be themselves...
Not sure if this is uncommon, but i tend to be dialogue heavy. Probably due to mainly watching movies and tv more so than reading novels for the last few years.
Other than that, I like to highlight the slapping of bodies during sex. In my porn viewing and personal sex life, I love to hear women's butts and legs clapping during, so most of my stories include such.
I enjoy trying invoke all the senses in my writing. In particular, smell is a much under-rated erogenous sense, in my opinion.

Uncertainty. Inner conflict. People at the edge of their comfort zones. Women finding strength and pleasure in self-abandonment, depravity.
I like to use a lot of real locations, including some that have vanished since the time period of the story. A few stories don't have specific locations, but it often makes it seem more plausible if it is happening in a particular place.
