I try not to be too lengthy with my erotica but I've written three teen novels that are published.
I'm working on Chapter Six and roughly about a third complete, I am kind of in that middle stage where you wonder if the end product will meet the vision from the starting line. I do plan to see it through. We shall see.

Class of 82 - The Little Sister Halloween Party ~ My newest story preparing for the annual fraternity Halloween party.
Journey With You ~ A love poem about a full life shared.
The Game's Ultimate Prize ~ The evening begins with cocktails ... a recommended read.
100 pages. Hand written. College ruled paper. Back in the Fifth Grade. Was even allowed to do a book report on it.

No word counting software back then.

I have written many novels but the longest one I have written has around 120K WORDS. I just finished writing it's 106th chapter, and I still have a lot to tell in this novel. It's a novel in which you will read about everything- love, crime, seduction, and lots of SEX - I would say it's my best work. I have written this one all by myself, and I feel proud to tell that it has just crossed 450K READS. If someday I get a chance I would like to make a movie on it because that's what my readers have suggested : )
It's not very good in terms of grammar and English, but my readers love it and I hope that someday I will find a right person to edit this whole novel for me.

By your own admission its both a behemoth (120K words) and poorly written. You should probably utilize a professional. Fortunately, we live in the digital time, and such are only a finger tip away, this one came up at the top when I typed "online proofread" into google.
Time to look back at the year that has almost passed now and do some re-evaluation.

Mile High Sluts finally got its second chapter and also came dangerously close to the 11,000 words mark. Huge thanks to the verifiers, it's incredibly difficult to stay focused on catching all the small bits in such a long story!

Another long single piece story is Just A Tiny Spark at 10k. I'm proud about its RR, as there's a lot of personal emotion in that story, and keeping the level of writing up all the way wasn't easy.

Last, but not least, A Bunny To Play With came full circle in November and stands finished at a little over 75k words.

So, let us know, through which word count barrier did you break this year?
The original version of Playing By The Rules was around 14000 words. The edited version posted on Lush is just under 10000.

I think I have a combined 1 billion words in unfinished stories at the moment, if that counts...
I had a competition story, Seduction at 36,000 Feet, that was just under the limit of 12,000. That is my longest stand-alone work.
I've co-written Spinning Down the Rabbit Hole with GreenEyedKitty. It has 4 parts and runs around 30K.
My current series, A Change of Direction, has four published parts with at total of near 28K. There will probably be another six parts added to those already published.
My stories do tend to be lengthy because I like the charters developed and the sex detailed.

Please tell me that's just what it feels like and not the real count. Lie if you have to.

That's never a bad thing. Well, some of the readers may be too spent to leave a review afterwards, but knowing it is a reward in its own

Just a little Hogmanay hyperbole (and alliteration and assonance, apparently). I do have quite a few unfinished stories though, and I wanna start a new one, too.
The very first erotic story I wrote turned into a trilogy of approximately 150,000 words. Unfortunately, about 2/3 of the way through the second book, I changed the style I was writing in, so at some point I need to revisit it and redo the first 2 parts. So at this point, it is still in first draft status. If my other stories are any indication, the final version could easily be close to double that word count. The most interesting part of the whole thing is that it took me less that 2 weeks to write it.

I have another story that is completed and is in, or close to publishing status and is around 64,000 words. And my current series, which is a book, just broken into parts to post here is roughly 103,000 words. I tend to add a lot of detail in many of my stories and actually found it more of a challenge to see if I could tell a complete story in only 2 or 3 thousand words.
I have two long stories that I wrote a couple of years ago. Both are many chapters long and I am afraid to look at the word counts. Both are 'early works' for me, and need A LOT of work to make them readable for others. I have too many fresh ideas percolating and waiting to get on paper, so I haven't worked on the older ones yet.

One thing I have seen a lot of on this site, and I think would be a good structure for me, is limiting ideas to three chapters. I am sure that is a rule I will break, but planning ahead to limit my thoughts will allow me to get in and out of a story, without feeling the need to force the creative process.
Single-story-wise, "Take Her Down To Paradise City, Pt. 2." Series-wise, definitely my "Personal Professionals" series. Though... not technically a "series," per say. More... a compendium of stand-alone stories that follow a similar theme.

My longest story so far is Seduction in Paradise, at twenty-three chapters. I have a couple more chapters in the works, but I'm getting some unfinished ones completed first.

Single Story (10,000 words): The Baskerville Hall Murder (Whodunnit)

I have written 5 books on LushStories, "The Alpha Man in Me" (84K Words), "Bonding" (91K Words), "Crete" (106K Words), "Clare" (112K Words), and "The Three of Us" which is a WIP but will be around (130K words) before I split it in two at a later date. 😊

My series. A conservative estimate for the word count is 304,000 so far 🤗

The No Strings Attached series?

Tintinnabulation - first place (Free Spirit)
Comet Q - second place (Quick and Risqué Sex)
Amnesia - third place (Le Noir Erotique)

I had a couple under my old profile that got close to the 10K limit or even had to be split. If we are counting series, then I had a six parter that probably ran 40-50K all told. Of my current work, "The Girl Who Knocked" is the longest single story at 7300ish words, while my "Angel of Love" series runs close to 10K total for three stories (might do more eventually).

The security cam was supposed to catch porch pirates, but instead it launched Tyler and Wendy on a new erotic journey.
