Any other writers been experiencing higher volume of views since the lockdown and isolation rules ?

Not that I've noticed but I don't look at views that closely other than for current stories. "Late Class" was the first one that really came out after lockdowns became widespread and it doesn't seem to be getting as much attention as its predecessor.

I'm seeing a bit of a spike in favorites and add to read lists that I wouldn't expect with so long since my last publication. ( Here, and on the other two sites where I post ) The one or two stories I've been looking at with spotty regularity ( the ones in my sig that are closest to "famous" do seem to be showing a very slight uptick above what I would expect.

I would say that increased activity is likely going to be suppressed by having kids/grandkids who are out of school in the house as well. Not exactly conducive to adult entertainment.

I have found a sharp decline in readers. Probably because this is a secret for most people. I have 11,766,136. It seems to be taking a very long time to get to 12 million views.

i think that, with everyone home all the time, people aren't getting alone/privacy time to read as much.

True Rachel. Not just reading, but writing as well. I need uninterrupted time. I'm working from home. At first, that was great. But, now, the firm is actually wanting us to do something from home. The combination of them and our clients getting more comfortable with teleworking plus the fact that my hubby is about can be an obstacle. Hubby knows about Lush so that isn't the problem. But some men are helpless around the house to do anything for themselves. Easier to ask the wife, where is... how do I... and the like.

I not so sure about that. I had a roommate in college who, I swear to God, was the slob from the Odd Couple. Clothing never picked up, bathroom always dirty, could never find anything because she never put anything away. There are some women that can be a bad or worse than a lot of men. There are also men who can put a woman to shame when it comes to the domestic chores of the household.

my wife is actually a "neat freak" so it's really not an issue at casa de sprite. smile

I am of the opinion that the Odd Couple is actually a good model for a marriage.

Two neat freaks would probably end up killing each other over some nitpicky dispute about which glasses go on which shelf or whatever.

Two laidback slobs would drown in their own filth.

So you need the tension between neat freak and slob to keep the house, and the relationship, intact.

And this is probably why I am not a relationship counsellor, but there you go.

I joined during lockdown, so it's been fairly constant my entire time here. I'd say the amount of votes and comments have grown more than the views since I joined.

I have been posting stories for three years. A few of my stories have passed 5k, but none approach 10. I've done a bunch this year, with a few above 1,500, but most idle at around 350. Looking at the total, I average less than 1% comments/votes against 'views' which means, statistically, my stories are not worth much notice, but for a handful of readers. Such is life.
