Some of my stories are fact. Some are based on fantasies we both have and would love to achieve someday.

Here is hoping you achieve more of your fantasies.

New story coming soon, it will be based on facts from an experience last weekend.

Techgoddess and Buz Buno have hit the nail on the head. A mix of facts, fiction, and details is the best to write a good story. It works for me.

I thought about the fact/fiction debate. Sometimes, when writing a story, especially fiction, you have to do research of some type. The internet is the key to details and helps to bring it alive.

😀

I am a great fan of the fact/fiction lasagne. That’s what I aim to serve each time. The fiction part freaks me out, though. I find characters have minds of their own and consistently do things I don’t approve of.

A more interesting question for me would be: For those who do garnish your stories with real places or events, why?

There's a certain amount of "write what you know", I imagine, and being able to describe a story that takes place in London or Seattle with realistic detail helps the reader immerse themselves in that world. In my case, the characters in my series are based on myself and my spouse, but the situations depicted are... let's say "aspirational" fiction. I wanted to take our sex life in a certain direction, and these stories were me trying to forecast how that would work.

Read some of mine, most are based on true events.

My partner is fond of saying that every story I write is about them. They're half-right. Often the stories aren't explicitly based on a real-life incident, but little moments in them are. Falling off the bed while trying to pull off a porn move is a recent one that springs to mind, lol. I often have a particular person in mind, someone I've had a crush on, and the story is more a fantasy about something I would have liked to happen with them. And if I've written it such that my partner can project themselves into the story, that leaves me confident the reader will be able to do the same.

Right on target. Every story written has bits and pieces from your own life, friends, partners, or just everyday happenings. Great observation

As an author I base most of my stories on true events, dressed up a little for story purposes but based on real events. Who else writes like this ? or do most authors write mostly fiction.

New story hopefully being added shortly.

I like to do a bit of both. True ones are fun, but honestly there are not too many exciting ones to write about. No one wants to hear, "It was a boring Tuesday night and me and my ol' lady hopped into bed for the weekly mattress mambo." LOL. If anyone has dozens of true stories to write about, God bless them! Once I have used up most of my story-worthy true stories, I write somewhat or kinda true stories that blend a bit of fact with fiction. Then there are the true fiction stories. These are fun as you can really go anywhere you want with these. So, it looks like all of the above is my final answer, LOL.

This is a fact.

😊

Nothing I have ever written is based on facts, some of what I say is fact enhanced by fiction…if I had enough discipline everything would be fiction. The truth is overrated and usually boring. Lie to me but be articulate doing it.

The fun part is never being 100% sure if the non-fiction is embellished or not. I tend to write fiction with true sex scenes and other odds and ends from real life and then create a more interesting version or use those elements to enhance a series. But, I will say I have read some pretty compelling and erotic true stories here.

Cookies And Lemonade - a short story about a reporter who gets an unforgettable story when he interviews a 1940s actor.

Titty, Clitty Gangbang - a microfiction with a restriction...lol.

The Party Line - a naive college grad in the '60s stumbles upon an erotic conversation.

All fiction in my case, though many times I wish they had happened to me rather than in my overactive imagination!

Since writing this I have written one true story... It is called, "Twins"

Well done

Right now, I am researching two new stories. They will combine all phases of writing and life, which is the best way to write a complete story or series.

I think an element of fact in a story is very important.

Although I’ve only submitted one story so far, it is a true story. I had an EXTREMELY sexual/exciting upbringing, especially thru my teen years thru my late twenties, and I have A LOT of exciting experiences I want to write about here. Problem is, I’m not that great of a writer so I’m a little hesitant to submit them. Some of these stories I read here are so well written and I could never compete with such talent. But, I’ll eventually submit another one, hopefully soon, and it’s the story about how everything began with my sexual awakening

As you, my stories are based on true events dressed up a bit for the story. My stories have been received well here on Lush so hopefully this method works.

A few of our stories are true, but they are all at least based on reality. We have one story coming up within the next few weeks of a visit we made while on vacation - that one was the total truth.

😊

I'm discovering that my true stories seem to be garnering more attention than the fictional ones.

That doesn’t surprise me at all, Kat. Hot, true stories written by a beautiful sexy women will always appeal to most heterosexual sexual men. That is my opinion 🙂🙂

I used have a vision of you as prim and proper lady with the unusual habit of writing erotic stories…then…you not only have an exceptionally creative mind but it seems you are also completely uninhibited sexually.❤️‍🔥

I hope that doesn't spoil the vision of me typing away on my laptop with my hair in a bun and my reading glasses on. 😉

If anything it makes the vision even more irresistible.
