My late wife new of new righting. She actually read every one of them. She would say, I can see us doing this or we would get in so much trouble if we tried this. Other than that, I have one dear friend that knows and has read a couple of my stories.

All of my family, the few that there are, know I write erotica. So do all of my friends and acquaintances, swingers, non-swingers, and nudists. They even tolerate being the basis for many of my characters and plots. I am proud of my work.

My wife proofreads all my stories and suggests edits, plot changes (position changes), and character traits, likes, and dislikes. The stories do to her exactly what they are intended to do, to our mutual benefit.

Hi. fairly new to Lush and haven't written anything as yet, too busy reading other folks accounts. I have written a few on another site a few years back so there is hope yet!

My family have no idea and I started writing erotica at sixteen. My mother is a prude though and has quite literally chased men away from me when I got older and first started clubbing. She would be absolutely shocked if she knew what I wrote about. My husband knows about my writing and has read a few pages though. He's told a couple of friends but he hasn't shown anyone what I've written though.

I started a little later than you, unless you count steamy notes to my boyfriends, but I am in the same boat as you. Although my husband has not read anything I have written or told any of his friends. I think part of him wants to tell people and part of him knows it would cause problems. What a shame though, right? We are doing something that many people can't, write about what turns us on, and instead of people appreciating it, we have to be worried how we'll be treated. It doesn't really matter to me either way because I do it for the joy it brings me. I hope that all the writers feel the same.

I have written to many a woman an erotic story, that they would like to read when on their own. Tales of man and woman, tales of two women and tales of older woman enforcing the young man to dress up in girl's clothes. Tales of a senior man with a late teenage boy or girl, in the woods. All of them have enjoyed the story I have written for them. Some women enlightened me that they were masturbating whilst reading it. I have written stories to men, on what fantasy they would like to read. I am happy they all enjoy my work. Jane.

All my friends keep asking but I refuse to share any links with them. They know I write erotica, but they are not allowed to read it. I feel more free being able to write without worrying about what people I know will say. Only 1 person I know personally has read my work and that's only because I pay him to be my proofreader.

Yeah, but they're written in my native language, and especially my family seems uninterested in their genre - my friends, though, are really fond of my technique and wording. It is such a pity that I'm not well-accomplished or widely known in my country, but the time will tell...

I’ve had a few small works published and I use a pen name for erotica. This site is the first time I attached a pic of myself to the work.

My partner is my editor, she is normally the first person to see anything I write.

My sister and Mom don’t know. My Mom would probably be underhandedly judgmental and I don’t need that. My sister would just tell my Mom.

Have two kids, at an appropriate age I don’t mind them knowing. What I choose to write is something I really don’t feel shame or awkward about and I don’t want my kids to feel that way about their own sexuality as they experience it. I don’t think I’m going to sit them down and make it a big talk but I’m not hiding it either.

No. From time to time even I forget I do…

No… people in my family view erotica as porn. Erotica is the fucking of one’s mind..porn is fucking of one’s body.

Most of my family and friends know, yes. I did keep this info from my mom and grandmother, though! NONE of my family will read my stories - the ones here or the ones published in book form - but I'm cool with that.

Yes, a few women know that live near my home. I am always with the women, and we were chatting in the restaurant one afternoon, as I had invited them out to lunch and I would pay for us all. I am the youngest in the group of the four of us, and the women seem to know that I am submissive. I confided in the three of them, that I would like to write a story on Female Domination, which included enforced cross dressing, or encouraged to cross dress.

My husband knows and enjoys my writing. A published story inevitably leads to major bedroom (and other places) satisfaction. He does offer suggestions when asked but usually stays out of the writing until the finished product. I haven't told anyone else about my hobby. I'd actually like to tell some friends, but I worry a bit about potential repercussions from work peers.

I just published a new story, https://www.lushstories.com/stories/reluctance/naked-and-afraid A wife is home alone when two criminals break in to rob her. She's afraid and that's when it gets interesting A super story full of great sex, with a BDSM slant, that will hold your interest.

An oldie but goodie, https://www.lushstories.com/stories/monster-sex/the-emerald-lagoon An Editor's Pick from a comp a couple of years ago.

If you enjoy either, please comment. My ego needs a boost, ha! Thanks.

My wife does because we met here on Lush. My friends I would tell if it ever came up in conversation but it doesn't so I don't.

I keep it a secret. They made enough fuss when they found out I was a porn star, escort and serial killer.

My girlfriend is my number one fan. Apart from that, no. How would I even bring that up? 🤣

Always look on the bright side of life... and also my profile because I write erotica you might enjoy.

Certainly not. I am into corporal punishment as well and no one knows except my wife. The trouble is that once someone knows the thing becomes public knowledge.

Unfortunately my 22 yr-old-son knows. He found out by accident. Now, he teases me mercilessly. And if I fuss at him about anything he says, "But, Mom ... you write porn!" Ha!

It’s usually the mother who catches her son out and embarrasses him.

I love what you said!

My husband knows what I write about and refuses to read any of it, although he helped me design my first few covers before I started doing them myself.

I've told my close friends and they've read my stuff and are very supportive. My sister and niece know and my niece is supportive. My sister's religious, so she's not thrilled with the subject matter, lol. Meh.

I have to read your stories now. ;)

~M~

So why is it that husbands won't read what we write? I have my theories but I am not sure I am on the right track with it.

Only a couple friends know.

I have been writing for 30-plus years. Recently I've found the courage to write erotica. My published stories, all family and friends know about. As for the recent stories, only my husband knows. He encourages me and will read them if I ask. He does not come to Lush often in fear. I will think he is up to something. But because some of my stories are true, I always get his approval before posting those..

One of my close colleagues at work knows. She keeps threatened to come on the site to check it out but so far there no sign of her.

I've also told a friend who, like me, lost her partner. We've both admitted to each other that we fantasise about having loads of casual sex, but I don't think either of us are like that.

I told her that when my marriage went through a rocky patch, I came on here as it seemed better to write about having sex with other people rather than cheat on my wife by actually having sex with other people.

My friend tried to get me set up on a blind date by telling them, "He writes mucky stories, you know!" So, give it a few weeks and I reckon everyone will know.

In this microstory a page turner of a novel leaves the reader gasping for more. https://www.lushstories.com/stories/microfiction/the-bookshop-2

Not sure i can say i "write erotica" after contributing minimal stories, but some friends and family know i read it, just not where or in what capacity. smile

I seem to write a story every 1.5 years on average.

You might as well check them out: https://www.lushstories.com/profile/Georgia_27_8/stories
