Hi, BG. Even the "true" stories that writers write aren't true. There's a famous writer, Ursula Leguin, who wrote an introduction to her most famous novel ("The Left Hand of Darkness") when it was issued in a second edition. In it she talks about what a writer does, particularly a science fiction writer. People always asked her if her writing was meant to be a prediction of the future -- did she think what she wrote would "really happen." In a way, it's the same question that readers of erotica are always asking: did this "really happen"? My favorite lines in the introduction are:

"But I am an artist too, and therefore a liar. Distrust everything I say. I am telling the truth."

If you like, you can read the whole introduction here:

Very good point here. Both of my stories contain (large) elements of truth and (large) elements of complete fiction. And even when you're determined to keep to it, absolute truth in writing is unachievable.
I agree with Milik. There is an elimate of truth in most authors writing. But the nature of writing always includes grandiosity of events. Most of my stories have truth mixed with fiction. All except one. My last one. It was so friggin difficult to write because it conjured up past pain.

Well I must say I'm somewhat disappointed in reading some of the responses on this topic. It's not that I have a problem with well written erotic fiction I just find it difficult to believe that there are so few writer's on this site who don't have at least a few fun, sexy, erotic experiences of which they feel they can share. I've just submitted my first attempt which is still waiting verification call "bringing out naughty Lauren" and with the exception of our names it's a completely true story. She and I have read it several times and we think it's pretty hot but obviously that'll be up to the readers. I really hope it goes over well because if it does I have a number of true stories that I think are pretty hot!

*shrugs* i have a few true stories, mostly, though, i prefer to flex my creative muscles and tell stories. much more entertaining, imo.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I've written a few true stories here, but they had to be heavily embellished. Otherwise readers would be like, wtf? That's it!!??
I'll admit that I have written some true stories. The names are changed and I'm not saying which stories are true or fiction. I'll plead the Fifth if you ask... and I'll take a fifth of bourbon any day.

If the story is set before I was born, you know its fiction or as I call it 'fuck-tion'.

Sprite without a doubt you're a fantastic writer. I've read most of your story posts and enjoyed them very much. All of your exhibition entries, quartet and skittles are among my favorite stuff of yours. I get your desire to flex your creative muscles, I enjoy doing the same when it comes to erotic fun but for me I have always enjoyed trying to dream up something sexy that I could enjoy with whomever I was dating and then going about setting things in motion. Now I've only dated a dozen or so women in my 38 or so sexually active years but I guess I've either chosen well or just gotten lucky. All have been pretty wild/kinky in their own ways. All were exhibitionists, most enjoyed being with women, using toys and having fun in public places, some liked multiple partners, swinging, watching porn and being in movies. I've never been shy about discussing my fantasies and, likewise non of the gals I dated had any issues revealing theirs to me.

So early on in life my girlfriends and I talked about fun, sexy and naughty things we'd like to try and we just made it happen. It's worked well for me but I understand many, probably most couples, have not enjoyed relationships such as I have.

Keep up the great writing Sprite,

Zona
I don't think it's a secret that TrinityX only writes true stories (so far). She always connects with her readers, and if you have ever spoken to her, you probably know this. I have been begging her to write a gay male story, which will obviously be fiction for her, and I hope she does it (pretty please Trin!!). But if you want real shit, read her.

can anyone point me in the direction to finding true stories on LUSH?
...where the story per se is true or not...my sex scenes are generally based on true experiences...I'm bi and since I've has sex with a little over 500 women and close to 400 men...I have a lot of experiences to draw from...
For me the best stories are those based in real facts or near the reality. I don´t like exagerated, surrealistic, sci-fi or haunted reports. Sorry those who like them. The great challenge for the writers is create a good story based or near real facts. This is my opinion.
My story is my true life story. It's still unfolding. I'll catch up eventually, but there are 21 instalments so far.
They're all literally true!

Don't believe everything that you read.

My story "Clare" is based fairly closely on a true story. I changed enough detail to protect the identities of those involved, mostly Scott and Clare. Doesn't matter so much any more. Scott is dead and Clare is in her 60s.
Like most writers anywhere, including Lush, some of my stories are pure fiction, others were inspired by real life or based on real life events. A few are even 'names changed to protect the wanton' recounts of real life events. For instance, the first story on my sig line was inspired by a relationship between two friends of mine. The third story is from nothing but my warped imagination. But the second story...well, that one is based on honest to goodness, 'if I'm lying I'm dying' type real events exactly as the story details...honest, no fooling, trust me on this one, okay?
