Sex While Skydiving (And Other Impossibilities)

Okay, hear me out because this is a bit strange. I'm thinking of writing about locations/method of sex that would be either impossible or at the very least a horrible idea (in the real world anyway.) For instance, sex while skydiving, as part of a trapeze act, or similarly absurd scenarios.

Would the sheer absurdity of the scenario serve as an immediate turn off or prevent you from getting interested/invested in the story, and/or would the implications of the act in real life serve as a deterrent?

Thanks.

Best way to find out is to write it. Absurdity in itself isn't a turn-off. If it's handled well, it can actually be intriguing, and a skilled writer can make the impossible at least plausible (believable). My advice is to be your own audience first. If you can't convince yourself that something like a sky-diving muff-diving story could happen and makes sense - at least in the world as you've built it in your story, if not in the "real" world - then you're unlikely to convince anyone else. But yeah, a free-falling fuck at 10K feet sounds like an interesting idea, so why not explore it? What have you got to lose?

Don't believe everything that you read.

100% agree with Just_A_Guy_You_Know smile Give it a try!

Many would think fucking at 24 m below surface could also be absurd... and yet, it's been done (not the most comfortable thing in the world, but still doable).

I agree with the Guy above. Go for it!

Curiosity is one of those insatiable passions that grow by gratification.

I'm a big fan of novel and innovative scenarios, so, yes, completely agree with the other posters. Give it a try!

I have a story about two people having sex on a moving motorcycle. Something I'd like to try, actually.
