Hey everyone, I'm new here so I probably won't know many people/anyone. If you wanna call me DB for short that's cool.
So basically a big reason I joined the site was too I write story's with the aim for feedback to be good enough so that my girlfriend is curious to read it, so on that note what encourages you to give feedback, comment, vote on stories? Do you read stories and not rate them cause there bad?
What's your regular feedback process?
Well bud...first off welcome to Lush. From my perspective, I have not rated or commented on every story I read. When i don't comment it's because the piece is so poorly written, poor grammar, no consistency to the story or just a poorly developed piece. I just feel they have way to much work to sharpen their skills and anything I said would not be constructive. So, since I'm not gonna shoot somebody down in flames I just won't comment at all. That is not to say that I won't give constructive criticism to a piece that had good points but poor spelling, for example. I'll point it out. I'll let someone know that they have a great idea so...sow down and give more detail. This isn't beat the clock. And I always comment and rate story that stirred my loins or simply captured my imagination. So, once again, welcome to Lush and good luck.
Hey DB, welcome friend.
I also agree with CB and also RF (RumpleForeskin)
I especially like the line; "This isn't beat the clock" so slow down and sell no wine before it's time.
That goes for meeting a few of the fine folks from Lush as well.
Get out and read the works of fellow writers, score and comment, and the friend request will pile up.
Enjoy,

Welcome to Lush,
I always score and comment on stories that I read. I know not everyone does and thats thier choice, but being a writer myself I know how important getting honest feedback on my stories, so want to return the favor to fellow authors.
As I said above I am honest with my feedback, I dont think there is any point in being nice and lying about my views on a story, but I would never be horrible, I think its important to give constructive criticism, as I writer I welcome it myself.
When you have made some good friends on lush, you could always send them previews of your story to give more detailed feedback on, but I would make sure that the story is complete first, otherwise they could end up influencing the story and sending in a different direction to the one you planed out.
I dont have as much time as I would like, but if you ever want more feedback, I am always happy to read and comment on stories, if it will help the writer.
Hope the writing goes well.
