I thought was considered his best. Or was that even Nabokov?

I probably should have put -Nabokov's most perfect novel- in quotes. Somebody else called it "a complete mess". It's all a matter of opinion.

Nabokov used the money he made from to give up university teaching, move to Europe and write Pale Fire.

I finished My Heart is a Chainsaw by Stephan Graham Jones and loved it (great title too).

About to start The Book of Accidents, by Chuck Wendig.

Tintinnabulation - first place (Free Spirit)
Comet Q - second place (Quick and Risqué Sex)
Amnesia - third place (Le Noir Erotique)

Highly readable literary fiction. A book Henry James might have been proud to have written.

Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler.

I'd insert pic here but it's at my place(im at my fiancés place at the moment) I've shared pic before w/ Mickey Mouse hoodie as background.

This copy was gifted to me by my History teacher. This book lives next to the Bible and the Satanic Bible by LaVey.

Dresden Files are very good reads as is the video series (available on Netflix or Prime). I just finished the 11th book in the Sandman Slim series by Richard Kadrey. The lead character is a private detective who continually does battle with demons, fallen angels and sometimes unfallen ones. If you like horror stories with a little camp, a little quirkiness and a lot of blood then you to check these out.

Have recently read All Quiet on the Western Front for the first time. I don't read horror but this contained some of the most graphic account of pointless human carnage and sacrifice as I have ever read. A remarkable book.

I dont know you, but you've posted this proudly more than once? It makes you look like a 15 year old edgelord looking to piss off the adults. Congrats on owning three of the most boring, pointless books on the planet that promote hate. Fwiw, I majored in history in college and read it as well. I dont believe in erasing history either (people should read it at least once), but the way you posted it again makes me feel like you think it makes you look intelligent and edgy or its a dog whistle. Either way it looks pretty stupid.

Im reading a book about the Dunning Kruger effect.

Yeah, I'm gonna weigh in on this, however reluctantly, because N's post has been talked about at my own house this week. Everyone has a right to read and write and post and love whatever book they want. Books are sacred. Good on you. But when you post a book written by a man responsible for the deaths of millions, you might want to have a reason beyond "I have a right to." Of course you have a right to. But why, exactly, are you recommending this book?

I've gotten shit in the threads (and beyond) for liking , another book folks love to hate. I think it is beautifully written, and NOT about what folks think it's about. So I've been there. But Nabokov didn't start a World frikkin War.

Tintinnabulation - first place (Free Spirit)
Comet Q - second place (Quick and Risqué Sex)
Amnesia - third place (Le Noir Erotique)

Just finished Stephen King's Fairy Tale. Not his best, but it's still a good read.

Just started this, and it's already plenty creepy:

Tintinnabulation - first place (Free Spirit)
Comet Q - second place (Quick and Risqué Sex)
Amnesia - third place (Le Noir Erotique)

Too Close to the Falls; After the Falls; Coming Ashore - all by Catherine Gildiner - all memoirs from different periods in her life - really enjoyed all three of these books.

The first 2 'Isolde x Adrian' novels by Scarlett St Clair blew my mind.
I've not read much erotica in a while, but this was masterful world-building.

The 48 Laws of Power
Not sure how to feel about this one - some bits inspiring and practical; others disgusting.

The Amateur, by Robert Littell. Great spy novel from the early ‘80s.

Haruki Murakami - Norwegian Wood.

Uh duh.

Just finished a play called One Neck about a serial killer showing up at a posh dinner party. Pretty frikkin disturbing.

Tintinnabulation - first place (Free Spirit)
Comet Q - second place (Quick and Risqué Sex)
Amnesia - third place (Le Noir Erotique)

“The Spear Cuts Through Water” Simon Jimenez

Got me wondering if successful, enduring relationships are built like habit-forming products too.

Children of Chicago by Cynthia Pelayo. Not good to read late at night. lol

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I just finished The Hustler by Walter Tevis and started The Color of Money last week.

Not bad. Not my favorite, but still worth the effort.

A beautifully written novel, in which nothing is quite as it seems, Old God's Time is about what we live through, what we live with, and what may survive of us.

The latest work from one of Ireland's greatest writers.

Longlisted for the 2023 Booker Prize.

My new boyfriend bought me this to read. Should I be worried?

Stephen Fry’s Mythos / Heroes / Troy

Every second of every day. 💕💝

Horrorstör A novel by Grady Hendrix

"Horrorstör is a 2014 horror comedy novel written by Grady Hendrix and illustrated by Michael Rogalski. The novel was released in paperback on September 23, 2014, through Quirk Books and is set in ORSK, an IKEA-esque store that has been experiencing supernatural phenomena."

It was a fun, scary, amusing read. I've enjoyed a few of his other books as well.

This was published in 1987. I wonder what happened to the author. He probably faded into obscurity.

Handsome devil though. He could grab my fanny any time.

Muah!

A must read to succeed on social media.😊
