A Walk to Remember & P.S. I Love You
probably both due to recent circumstances
A lot of great ones have already been mentioned so I'll post a few that probably haven't been:
The Christmas List
Mrs Winterbourne
The Replacements (not a romance but when they kiss at the end, I still go weak in the knees)
Romancing the Stone
Sliding Doors
Stardust
While You Were Sleeping
Halloween ..20 years of never ending sociopathic love
The Apartment and Annie Hall
Queen of the Starlight Ballroom
I'm so non-traditional. I often cling more to romantic sub-plots. For some reason love blooming amid action and adventure really gets me.
In part, because action and adventure type settings tend to sidestep a lot of very obnoxious romance stereotypes and tropes that I absolutely cannot stomach (movies or books).
Byzantium (predominately a vampire story - the sub plot of Eleanor and Frank is lovely as is Darvel)
Thor (yeah - I have a thing for Marvel's Thor and Jane)
"Beastly" a very good movie. Pretty much the only romantic movie I liked. And I'd recommend it to anyone
The Notebook, but I agree with so many others....Love Actually, A Walk To Remember..both great movies.
As Crazy_girl says, The Notebook is amazing. I love Just like Heaven
My favorites are:
Pretty Woman
Coyote Ugly
Titanic
Bridget Jone's Diary
The Holiday
Jerry McGuire
Romeo and Juliet
Sense and Sensibility
These are all I can remember:
Shakespeare in Love
The Notebook
Princess Bride
The Prince and Me
Never Been Kissed
Rocky
Casablanca
Tombstone
Does 'Maleficent' count as a romantic movie?
Otherwise I did enjoy 'Captain Corelli's Mandolin'.
Pretty Woman, The Notebook, Before We Go, Untamed Heart, Griffin & Phoenix, Love Actually, Say Anything, About Time, to list a few....
I can't say I have any favorite genres. A good film is just that and just transcends whatever category it might belong to, however else you might categorize it. But for those that do fall ostensibly into the romantic category, Shakespeare in Love, Moonstruck and Cousins were the ones that come to mind.
love and basketball
ever after
a knight's tale
the princess bride
runaway bride
We love both Titanic and Armagedon...
call me crazy.... but, "Pretty Woman"
I love the twilight saga it's a lovely story following Edward and Bella
Gone With The wind
Titanic
Pretty Woman
I have hundreds that I love....
