There are no lesbians in this particular batter's lineup. There's a gay guy, but I'm pretty sure he'll be safe.

While I know lesbians don't seem to last long on this show, I'm more concerned about the demise of all the blondes.

The Blonde RIP list so far: Amy, Sophia, Andrea, Beth, Mika, Lizzie, Deanna, Jessie, Denise. Are there even any blondes left on the show anymore? Nope.

Good point. I did not notice this fact. My Blondar must be on the fritz. After all a Blonde is a terrible thing to waste.
Charming as fuck

can't stop watching this. some of the bad lip reading clips are just hilarious!
Oh Jen... just found your post and I'm crying... it's brilliant

LOL. The Carl Poppa vid is hilarious - thanks for posting that, Jen! I hadn't seen it before.

dur dur dur dee dur *gigglefit* i don't have any idea what it's about, but it's freaking awesomely hilarious!

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

The first teaser for Season 7 is out, with the full trailer due out later today/tomorrow.

If anyone is jonesing for the big spoiler to last season's cliffhanger, you can go to The Spoiling Dead Fans facebook page (look for their July 16th post). Apparently they have a great track record and have been correct with their spoilers 95% of the time. They have an entire website dedicated to real-life stalking of the filming locations/sets and actors - enough so that AMC threatens to sue them on the regular.

Please don't post spoilers in this thread. Theories and predictions are fine though.

But if you can't wait until October, you can go peek.
I can't wait but I think the first episode's going to be quite a tear jerker. Tissues at the ready

I've heard a lot of spoilers and a lot of people de-bunking them. I won't say who I think is gonna die, but I hope it's not Glen! I don't want to see any of our favorites go, it was hard enough to see Beth die. I will continue to watch but my heart will be broken...Chris Hardwick is gonna need to put on his therapist hat tonight on Talking Dead...

Seriously... most brutal episode ever. Like I had seen the spoilers so I was pretty sure I knew what was coming and I was still completely traumatized. That was one of those episodes you watch once and never again. It was way worse than I was expecting. There wasn't a moment to breathe from beginning to end. I just can't even handle it yet. So fucking awful.

I thought it was an incredibly well written episode overall and I understand why they had to go this way. It really does 'reset' the show. There have been so many villains but nothing has ever broken the fight and resolve of Rick's gang like this. You kind of think after this many seasons, everything has already been done, but this is genuinely new territory.

I still kind of wish my eyes could 'un-see' some of the images in this episode. These characters will really be missed. It's kind of the end of an era.

SO MUCH THIS!! Thank you for putting into words what my heart could not speak. Still reeling from this

Wow.. Just, wow.

It might be a long road back from this for Rick and his people. This is going to to carry over for seasons to come. This was not one of those things that will be "okay" in a few episodes and everyone moves on.

But,

It's why we watch it. We always want to know what happens next and they set the tone early leaving Merle on the roof and killing off Shane and Carols daughter.

I think Negan is a fantastic bad guy. As of now he doesn't have one redeeming quality, like the Governor did, he's just all bad. Really excited to see what happens next.

Ouch, ouch, and double ouch. The show again teaches us that the zombies are the least problem. Hell is other people.

Completely agree. It was AWFUL but very well written. Not many shows can have you on the edge of your seat in its 7th season. The imagination of Rick with them at the table killed me! ???

I thought this exact thing! There was a moment at the end, where Rick is about to drive away and he spots a walker... I said "The walkers don't seem so bad now, the real monsters are men."

They prove it again and again. sad

Chuckanator
Gawd that traumatized me. That was more brutal than the cannibal episode. Lost two of my favorite characters. I can see why. With new characters, old ones need to be retired.

They better not kill Daryl. I'll shut them off forever. The writers of The Walking Dead have to be some of the most unpopular people on earth right now. Right up there with Isis.

Yeah, but before this particular episode, it was mostly kittens and unicorns. I swear.

I have to scroll down really fast and squint to avoid spoilers here, since I am midway through season 6. Not easy.

That said, season 6, episode 4, Here's Not Here, the flashback about how Morgan begins to overcome his PTSD with the help of the vegetarian ex-psychiatrist Aikido guy was truly moving, and one of the best episodes of the series ever. The thing about how you see the door to escape the horrors, and open it, and all you see is the same door staring at you, and open it again to see the same damn door again, was brilliant. As was the story about the only evil person he'd ever met, and what happened.

"Everything is about people. Everything in this life that's worth a damn."

It became an uneven show after the first couple seasons, but I watch it because occasionally it hits its target perfectly.

I personally on the edge of being bored with Walking Dead. To me, it's like, the only thing we are fighting is humans now. As for the last five/six seasons we were fighting off walkers and random humans we need to get rid of. Now it seems all we do is kill humans. Hello, we already know humans are assholes. That was a thing before the end of the world. Now all we focus on is killing all the extreme assholes. If you don't like Negan or his bad guy friends, pack your shit and go some place else. The whole United States is free, I'm sure you can find somewhere to go.

And I'm super annoyed that Glenn died. Seriously, he fought like hell to come back twice, just to die anyway. -.-

I think one of the main problems with this is the fact that people keep procreating. Seriously. Like I cannot imagine how anyone would want to get pregnant and have a baby during a zombie apocalypse when you need to be mobile and adaptable but Judith forced them to hole up at the prison and fight for it. And now Maggie's pregnancy seems to be solidifying things. Watching them 'on the road' didn't seem like a fun experience considering food is legit scarce now if you're just scavenging. A secure space with walls and sustainable resources and safety is now a 'need' rather than a 'want'. This seems to be the motivating factor in fighting for what they have in Alexandria and not running.

While I agree, some previous storylines have felt redundant at times, and at other times kind of sloppy, this is ultimately a survivalist show - there's nothing to evolve to from here and there's only so many fresh ways to kill a zombie/herd. I think there is interesting potential for the first time as we come across other sustainable communities and the show looks at the idea of trade/barter and probably how to work together against a common evil. While I haven't read the comics, I imagine their only hope going forward to defeat Negan will be working with the other communities he's enslaved. They certainly don't have the manpower on their own. A lot of characters will evolve because of the recent deaths as well, which I think could be pretty compelling.
