Are you talking about that plot change/location shift about a third of the way in? I really liked that, though it threw Layla off as well. I loved this movie.

I'm glad I watched it and I would absolutely watch it again, but I wanted/needed more information. The random flashback should have given more detail. I feel they missed an opportunity to set up something genuinely scary.
I want to see Smile. The first time I saw the trailer it startled me. haha
