This one, I will let it speak for itself. Sadly my Uncle wanted it played for my dads funeral, I have never heard more beautiful words for a lost loved one and it is definitely one that made my jaw drop.

The Prayer - Celine Dion & Andrea Bocelli

The Duchess of Tart

Please check out my new story, co-written with the amazing Wilful.

And my latest poem, The Temptation.

I have loads, but one recent one that made me stop and take notice was Elephant, by Tame Impala

Such an old fashioned, psychedelic sound...

I was 17 when it came out and it kind of blew me away when I first heard it. Didn't understand a thing he was singing, but the sound/atmosphere of the song was exactly like I felt at the time, even though I was more into rockabilly/psychobilly then.

We seem to share an interest in music.
I guess there's something with that drummer ;)

This one definitely did. It was so fresh and raw and just the shot in the arm we needed when rock seemed to be very stagnant.

Another one that also did was "Welcome To The Jungle" by G 'n' R. Such a raw and primal sound!

Another was the first Metallica song I ever heard, "Hit The Lights". WOW!!! Did more than make my jaw drop!!

There are so many from when I was a kid. My mom exposed me to such great music and wanted to me to know there was more to music than top 40 pop!! Thanks Mom!!

Hell yes!!! RRRRRRRRR Love me some DG!!

Sunburn, by Muse

First time I head it, it just blew me away... Seen them live so many times now

Bought the album on the strength of this and it was such a good purchase

If you ever get the chance to see them play.. Do!
Another one then:

As an atheist I would not have minded if he'd left out the part about Jesus' supposed road to happiness ;) but the following part always causes me to have a bit of a lump in my throat nevertheless:

Quote by Johnny Cash - The Man In Black
And I wear it for the thousands who have died
Believin' that the Lord was on their side
I wear it for another hundred thousand who have died
Believin' that we all were on their side

Don't Wait by Mapei. So simple, but it still gives me goosebumps. One of the closest things to a spiritual experience that I'll probably ever have.

"Come shed your light, it makes me shine.
You get the message, don't you ever forget it.
Let's laugh and cry until we die...

...I fuck you when I need to, I just need you for a bit.
I've been fiending for a hit.
Got my guards down in God's garden, Eve and Adam eatin' all of it.""

I should thank you for this as this is stuck in my heart. Mesmerizing!
Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull. Not your average song and much longer than any other song i know, but it had me from the first time I heard it.
A little kindness can be so valuable, yet costs almost nothing

In many countries being gay is a crime, and even in modern societies, politicians try to legalise discrimination. Your voice can make a difference. Have a look at All Out to find out how.

Hey... pssst.... that's an l (as in luscious) at the end of my name, not an i

Glad you liked it! xo

Sail by Awolnation. I first heard it on America's Got Talent during this act. Still gives me chills.

Habits by Tove Lo. I had, and still have a tough time, dealing with the death of my dogs. I first
heard this song and it performed on David Letterman a few years ago. The line from the song
still rings true for me.

"... gotta say high, all the time, to keep you off my mind... "
