Loved it, tho a little worried about a *Comeback* - you know? A bit like going back to a place that you knew long, long ago.

The old adage.."Never go back...!"

yeah - I wonder, too.......new shit?.......re-hashed stuff?
looks almost like Tim the Enchanter in your avatar lol!

Sure, at times their tv episodes could lag, but on the whole, their shining moments eclipsed any of their film's shining moments. Grail, which I think was their strongest flick, doesn't compare (to me) to some episode gems like:
How to Do It
127th Annual Twit of the Year Show
disgusting funeral parlour sketch where Chapman suggests that Cleese's mother should be eaten
Mr. Pither's Bicycling Tour
Confuse-a-Cat
the Attila the Hun Show
Scott of the Antarctic
Mr. Neutron
the truly spectacular Most Disgusting Families Competition episode
Salad Days (fuckin eh Peckinpah take-off)
Marriage Guidance Councillor (Idle and Cleveland here are great)
Bicycle Repairman
Dirty Fork in Restaurant
Dull Life of a City Stockbroker
Crunchy Frog choclatier
dolt boxer Kenny Clear-Air System
Ron Obvious
"My hovercraft is full of eels!......My nipples explode with the life!!!!!!!"
Ken Shabby
cops with weird voices
Village Idiot
Mrs, Niggerbaiter explodes
Pantomime Horse/Queen
Anne Elk's Theory on the Brontosaurus
Gumby Brain Surgeons
the Mr. and Mrs. Snivelling Little Rat-faced Gits
Spot the Looney
Pasolini Cricket Film
Toupee Dept sketch in Micheal Ellis episode
The Bishop
and, my fave - The Visitors sketch, featuring Brian Equator (probably my fave Cleese character)

Pure comic genius! I first found Python on PBS Sunday nights and have been a huge fan since. Loved the show and movies. And Spamalot is the funniest Broadway show I have ever seen. I literally hurt from laughing so hard.

If you've never been skipped in line by some old bitty, or had to endure the young next wannabe Kanye West on the Metro, then this might not be funny. And, yes, never dated.

All my favorite professors in college were huge Python fans, and so I bought the whole series on DVD and most of their movies as well. I loved the irreverence and non-sequitur humor! My favorites are The Spanish Inquisition and the bicycle tour. I got to be a fan of Terry Gilliam's films through his Python work.

I loved them in junior high/high school, but the TV show seems a little dated to me now. Still LOVE all the movies though.

My kids think the TV show is awful. They like Holy Grail (which my fave too). Hated Life of Brian. And I haven't shown them Meaning of Life yet - a bit too inappropriate.

Just a few choice quotes from memory.

Loved it.

I haven't seen but will watch one and have an opinion.

I've always been a big Python fan, especially of the cherubic Palin. And I'm convinced that Terry Gilliam will go down in history as cinema's Leonardo.

The one weak link for me has always been John Mr-Shoutie-Man Cleese - surely the unfunniest comedian ever.

Three years ago (I'm UK based), I was lucky enough to see the semi-Pythonesque stage show 'Spamalot'. Has it been captured on YouTube, I wonder?
