Starting April 22nd...
I am looking forward to it.
Same here, at least there's the new season of Silicon Valley to hold me over.
Very looking forward to it.
I kind of feel like it lost steam during the end of the last season. ( a few many twists during t he end).
Still one of the most anticipated shows of the upcoming summer.
Loved Season 1, very much looking forward to seeing Season 2.
I am now rewatching Season 1. I love this show and it's the only one everyone in my family will watch and discuss with me. Otherwise, we all have widely varying tastes in what we enjoy watching on television.
Looking forward to Season 2. See everyone back here after April 22 to dissect and discuss.
I did mostly enjoy the opening episode. Where do y'all think it's heading?
I have discovered that I don't enjoy a lot of graphic violence on TV and in movies like I used to. I think it's all the insane violence in the world, mass shootings, attacks using vehicles, bombings, useless wars, and hatred. So the scenes with bodies laying around, so very grim and gruesome, were depressingly difficult. Still, I'm addicted to finding out where the story is going.
I agree that it was a violent episode and I was not as pleased with the show as I was during the first season. I know they have to set up a lot of new storylines but I have no idea where they are headed.
I was left with a lot of questions which is what I do enjoy about the show.
Is Bernard a hybrid of some kind. He is able to enter the outpost after his "DNA" is read by the scanners. Did Ford somehow manage to incorporate human DNA in a host? That's just one question. I will watch it again and see what else I can glean from the episode.
So glad to see this thread! I was about to start one.
I thought they threw too much into the last half of last season, trying to make it a Lost-like puzzle that people will analyze online endlessly. I don't wanna analyze endlessly. I wanna watch a good TV show.
That said, I thought they corrected it the first episode of this season. It was a pretty straightforward episode.
Gill, I don't think Bernard is a hybrid, I just think they've given him back-door access with that DNA line. It was a weird twist though. And let me boast that in last season's thread I called Bernard as being a robot WAY early in the show (and was dissed for my theory by that damn sprite chick).
Violence, even graphic, doesn't bother me. Endlessly long fight scenes bore the FUCK out of me, which is why I hate action movies these days, but WWorld didn't do that.
i am kind of loving season two so far.
Deloris looks super hot in an evening gown!
I have yet to start watching series 2, but thanks to Sky TV’s catch up facility I can binge on a day when the British summer returns to normal ie. rain, rain, and more rain.
Curious to know how everyone else felt about this week's season finale! I love it! I thought episode 9 was the only one this season that wasn't fantastic. The ending left me eager for season 3, to see how the dynamic of the new relationship between Dolores and Bernard plays out.
I haven't caught up with the finale yet. Finding this season a struggle. Hoping it comes together soon. Kinda bored of it.
West World is on my list of shows to watch, but I have not yet started watching. I just finished watching the Ken Burns Vietnam series. I thought it was one of his best so far.
I chose to wait and binge the season instead of watching week to week.
I just find that I can't watch show like this unless I watch them all at once.
I'm on episode 7 now. It's starting to lose me. I'm getting scarred that this starting to be like "lost" was. Where the writers were amazed that it was a hit and then started to write stuff just to keep things going. As opposed to mapping something out with a beginning and end. I honestly think that it should have ended after the first season.
I love the samurai stuff. But all I can think about is.. how good this would be if you just made a samurai show? All the resources... It would have been awesome!
This is way too complicated now. Alternate timelines... it's too much. And I am so sick of seeing people walk around that building. I feel like I'me watching the same thing over and over.
I love Westworld. I heard quite a bit of grumbling from friends and co-workers about Season 2, but I thought it mostly equaled Season 1 in storytelling, visuals, and mindfuckery. I'm glad they renewed for Season 3, but I have no idea what to expect now.
Sharp Objects is another great HBO show that just premiered a couple weeks ago. More people should check it out.
