I have again watched 2 old films this week where a young boy plays a key role in both films.
Shane with Brandon deWilde. One of my favourite Westerns.
The Fallen Idol with Bobby Henrey. He had Sir Ralph Richardson opposite him who knew a thing or two about acting.

We're watching a great show called Better Things where the kid actors are excellent.

I thought that Emma Watson ran rings round every other Hogwarts kid actor.
And although not a film, the two main leads in Gortimer Gibbon's Life On Normal Street (Sloane Morgan Siegel and Ashley Boettcher) had fantastic range, from comic timing to emotional drama. That may have been down to the exceptional writing rather than the actors, I'm not sure. But it was a fantastic show nonetheless.

Chunk, goonies. Kid had the adult actors cracking up. In the ‘tell me everything’ scene you can see one of the bad guys straining to not laugh.

Just watched King Richard. I know Will Smith got the deserved Oscar but thought all the kids were great, especially the girls who played Venus and Serena.
