The final two episodes were both brilliant!!! Some other seasons I've been left scratching my head (like I can't believe Bran was missing for a WHOLE season), but this wrap up was just AMAZING .

What Bran saw - As the end of the episode was nearing I was stomping my feet and yelling, NO NOT ANOTHER SEASON NOT FINDING THIS OUT, and then.... !!!!! Ahh I need to go and brush up on the books again while I wait.... It is going to be a torturous ~ 42 weeks for more. I think I need a binge watch of this season again already! I might cry the day the series ends.
Before we saw Ned handed Lyanna's child, I was anticipating seeing a twin daughter make an appearance as well. It has been long speculated that Meera Reed might have also been born to Lyanna as John Snow's twin sister.

They are about the same age and sport similar looks and she's also gracefully athletic and handy with bow & arrow. It would've fit well with the back story, since Howland was also at the Tower of Joy that day.

Perhaps Lyanna whispered to Ned that there also was a newborn girl - which we won't learn about until next season?

We now have Dany as a draonrider, Jon Snow will have that ability - and we need a third (perhaps Meera)?

TWO more seasons, tho only 7 epis each, i believe.

Thanks babes xo

I am also going to re read the books and re watch all the dvds...so fucking awsome, this was by far the best series thus far, most especially the last 2 episodes.

@ wellmademale - I don't think there will be a twin and the way GOT goes you never know who is going to die. I can't see that all 3 dragons will survive the wars to come but if they do then Dani is predicted to have a child...see below

"When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east," said Mirri Maz Duur. "When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return, and not before."

Surely her son will be a dragon rider? Not sure I can see John Snow doing it tbh, he is too much of a North man, he likes wolves, he already has Ghost.

This HAS to be THE BEST episode of Game of Thrones I have EVER seen...that is all.

I am going to go finish watching the rest now but just had to come here and say so....got 9 minutes left and WOW just WOW biggrin

Last two episodes were Game of Thrones at its best. Astonishing. A master class in world-building and storytelling and narrative arc.
One of the best season-ending episodes in years. Looks like it's going to be a female battle for Westeros, and I can't wait until next year.

Another theory has Tyrion being Dany's sister. Her mad king father supposedly knocked up Tywin Lannister's beloved wife, resulting in the imp. There was a lot of bastardizing occurring in Westeros back in the olden days.

My guess is that Tyrion is a Targaryn. Tywin often said, "you're no son of mine". In my mind, at least, that was solidified when Tyrion was able to approach and unshackle Dany's dragons without being eaten or torched... a talent often associated with Targaryns.

Yeah, that he could unshackle the dragons was a pretty big clue for me too. Never caught the "no son of mine" reference.

The only downside (and it's barely a downside) is that since the plot threads are all beginning to come together there are fewer plot lines to follow. At the beginning there was so much going on it was hard to keep everything straight. Things are getting simpler now.

If it weren't for Breaking Bad I'd call this the best TV show in the history of the medium.

Hey Verbal, I can't embed the video properly, its in this scene.

I hadn't heard the theory and I'd have never picked it up as a reference to something deeper, given all the preceding "You're my son", "You're a Lannister", but I am slow like that. Regardless, I love the idea, and the hints that others have mentioned that could prove a plausible reason certainly make sense.

As Verbal mentioned, with all the threads tying together it's become much easier to follow, I think it's also drawing attention to the fact a conclusion is actually coming, which I think is the downside for me! So many interesting things to come and see if any theories come to fruition. I already can't wait!
What if... what IF Cersei and Jamie are also children of the Mad King, Aerys Targaryen? Jamie returns to King's Landing and sees the destruction. On his way to the throne room, surely he found out what happened. Seeing Cersei after she employed Wildfire to kill her enemies and innocents, maybe the look he gave her was a knowing one? Targaryens are known for and their love of Wildfire... they go mad. Maybe... MAYBE it will be younger brother Jamie that kills Cersei! Shall he add Queenslayer to his accomplishments?

I'm someone who just only started watchin this show. Sam n I binge watched the series and have seen them all now. Maybe its cause we did it this way that we're left with a few questions or maybe its the point.

1. One of my questions is, everyone sees Jon Snow as the King of the North, but he is a Snow. For many reasons Ned didn't make him a Stark, but now that Ned and Cat are dead, is it possible for his "siblings" aka Sansa to allow him to be a Stark. Who decides that?

2. Does anyone really think its gonna go anywhere with Littlefinger and Sansa? He seems to be hopeful, even though he sold her to Ramsey, who did what he did to her. Is she really gonna be like, no problem man, let's get married. I know when he told her what he wanted she said it was a pretty picture and walked away. I don't see him walking away, even after that. He is determined to marry her as much as he wanted Cat.

any ideas?
†Jinxy Approved†

Littlefinger instigated much of the turmoil of season 1, when he prodded Lysa Arryn to murder her older husband - Jon, the then Hand of the King.

His demise or destiny still awaits him - and us. What fate worse than death would befit him?

Is anyone else curious about what the Mountain was doing to Septa Unella in the final episode?

That is brilliant. I love little kickarse Lyanna, she's awesome.

Too long. It will be nearly a year (one day early) since the screening of the final episode of S6.
Though the confirmation of a release date does mean the countdown can begin.

I know right, too long!!!

I'm going to need more wine

Hi Kiera
Hahaha the love hearts all over it really enhance its laugh factor.

The iconic Love Actually scene... made so much better.

Never seen it!!
Long time to wait - and then for a shortened season.
I'd rather have a 13 part season than a 7 followed a year later by a 6.
I don't see what all the fuss is about, its just a soap opera about people who don't bathe frequently enough. I do enjoy the inclusion of the high production value porn though.
I finally got my brother hooked on GOT and he just watched the Red Wedding this morning.
His response was sending my a message saying "Filch just killed every fucking c**t, worst episode ever".
Laughed out loud for a good five minutes and then sent him links to watch Red Wedding reactions.
I can't wait for it to come back!
