Here are a few musicals I've enjoyed and don't believe have been mentioned: (movies) All That Jazz, Hello Dolly, South Pacific, ( Broadway) The Fantasticks, Mame, Guys and Dolls, Damn Yankees, Annie, and Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.

I don't believe that we are the only two. When the solo saxophone plays it melts your heart. I saw it 7 times far and away the best I've ever seen. I don't think it went to USA as it's based on the fall of Saigon and the troop withdrawl, maybe it was thought to be too un-American.

It had a good run on Broadway and ran in Toronto as well, though it has never been as popular as Les Miserables, which is from the same writing team.
I love a lot of the classic musicals, but right now I enjoy watching 'Pitch Perfect'.
What player wouldn't like Chicago? Great cast and I enjoyed the roaring 20's era...Music and cinematography were also great.
Not sure if this counts as a musical, but Gilbert & Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance.

But the operetta thread is out of order. Hence my dilemma. I just wanted the world to know that I loved Pirates of Penzance...and this is the closest I could get. Must you steal my moment?

I really don't like musicals, but my second favorite movie does have like 10 songs in it. Only, the typical musical fan would probably not like it, but hate it. South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut. Check it out if you don't believe me.
