I love Dr Who!! I was on holiday in California last year and wanted a haircut. I went into a random mall's salon, and as soon as the girl heard my accent she mentioned Amy Pond, lol. So that was us, we chatted about Dr Who for the next hour.

Ooooh! My favorite Doctor.
Kinda sad Moffat is leaving the show, and there are rumors that Capaldi is going, too. The delay to the show is kinda devastating, too. Hopefully, it will come back bigger and better than ever.

Sorry Rach but David Tennant is by far the best Doctor, Matt Smith to wishy washy for me. Peter Capaldi is fine but I think he has suffered with some terrible script writing. In my opinion Stephen Moffat has spoilt the last series with his anal obsession with the Doctor having a 'guilty secret' of something in his past. The episodes have become more about the doctor's feelings than defeating the evil enemy. Bring back Russell T Davies please.
And Amy Pond was the best companion, followed closely by Clara.
P.S. Love your t-shirts

Awesome t shirts love the alice one! I liked a lot of the companions rose and amy and claras good to. But my favourite would have to be donna her and tenant together where a hilarious combo!!

i adored david tennant. so much so that i was prepared to hate matt smith when he came along, but i just couldn't - he was excellent. it took me a while to really properly warm up to him, but honestly, i'd be hard pressed to choose between them.
amy pond probably sneaks it for me for my fave companion. nothing to do with her being scottish, lol. i did like rose too, and i really liked martha jones - she always seems to be left out, but she had some excellent episodes.
one thing i'm kinda torn on is the whole dr/companion relationship aspect. i think they brought in capaldi to nix the relationship thing between the dr and clara. in a way i like that it's not about that, but in another way, i love watching a relationship unfold on tv... will they, wont they. ahhh

we started watching Doctor who when it rebooted with Chris Eccleston. everytime a new doctor came along, we were prepared to dislike him, or not like him as much as the previous one - Capaldi is really the only one who fulfilled that - not that i don't like him, but following David and Matt was just impossible. btw, i am very aware that David is Scottish, young lady - favoritism! lol btw, have you watched Broadchurch? or Jessica Jones on Netflix? he plays the bad guy in that - soooo creepy, too.
Martha gets lost in the mix a bit, i think, because she had a really short run in comparison - like half a season, wasn't it?
Quote by Echelon
yeah, but he put on an english accent, so it doesn't count, lol. and capaldi is obviously scottish too... we're grumpy like that
not seen broadchurch yet, but keep meaning to watch it. hubby and i binge-watched JJ when it came out. then i had to binge watch daredevil haha. he'd already seen it, but was happy to watch it again. both excellent shows.

oh, i couldn't do that - we watch them as soon as they premier on BBC america. no waiting for us.
for everyone - favorite doctor? favorite companion?
i have a soft spot for Rose, but i loved Amy equally. I think that, as much as i liked Tennant, Smith beats him out, but just barely.

My favorite Doctor is actually Peter Capaldi. None of my friends agree with me, but the guitar was a big part of it. lol And the way he truly BECAME the Doctor. It blew my mind in the season premiere from this last season, the way he described his vision of time.
"I spent all day yesterday in a bowtie. And the day before that in a long scarf. It's my party... and all of me is invited."
Chills.
As for favorite companion, that's tough. I love the Paternoster gang, Straxx especially, but as for the other companions, my favorites are probably Jack Harkness and River Song. Never much liked Amy, if I'm honest. Donna was great, though.
