Remembering our life together

Small objects that our children made
A few report cards with their grades
A picture with my daughter in braids
All these memories start to fade

Sickness has altered our life
Today marks a year you've been gone
I remember when we were husband and wife
I must live my life and carry on

I visit the grave where you are
Remembering our journey
I pray and look at the stars
There's no more sadness or worry

When I die we will again meet
We will dance together in heaven
It will be my last heartbeat
It will be like our wedding
