Everything went to complete shit on Halloween night. At least that's what most people who are still "human" would say.
But not me because that's the night that fate opened up its door and gave me the woman of my dreams. So what if she's a drooling cannibalistic corpse. She's actually still pretty hot, a total MILF. But I guess the correct term for her now would be... ZILF. Real love is not all about looks.
Prior to this, she had just been my late night stroke fantasy. My guilty obsession. My best friend Shaun's mom. Shaun and I have known each other since the third grade. Best buddies until... well, the end.
Halloween night started out pretty normal really. Shaun and I were upstairs in his room devouring candy out of a plastic jack o lantern, washing it down with pizza, and burping every time we finished a soda. There was a sizeable pile of dead soldiers on the floor dripping sugary liquid into Shaun's already questionable carpet. We did this every Halloween. Instead of going to a party as most teenagers do.
Shaun had actually suggested that we start changing things up. "We should be out getting some hot Halloween pussy," he said with a smirky grin on his face. "Tim, just think of all those hot costumed babes, all boozed up and ready to go." I just sighed and shook my head.
"We have a tradition to keep," I declared but that really wasn't the reason, not the main one anyway. This was always a good opportunity to spend some time with his mom, Julia. Shaun would eventually pass out probably around the time we put in Nightmare on Elm Street. That always knocks him out cold, And I'd go downstairs and get to spend the rest of the night talking to her.
Despite Shaun's obvious character flaws his mom Julia was actually really cool. She got pregnant with Shawn when she was in high school. Maybe that's why she never took on the stuffy fake parent act so many people end up having. She seemed like she was our age a lot of the time and when she talked to me she always made me feel like I was cool. Like I was friends with this hot chick.
Sure our talks usually consisted of her bitching and venting about her job and her failed marriage. Sometimes it was about the other crappy bullshit men in her life. I'd just nod my head and listen and think to myself, "Wait till I turn eighteen in a year. I'll show you that not all men are assholes."
I knew that she'd never really go for me. I even imagined her laughing her tits off at me and saying 'Oh. Tim, you are so sweet and silly. Do you really ever think I'd go for you? Besides you're Shaun's best friend, get real.' Just the thought of that was enough to make me want to cry like a little bitch.
The last time we talked though it was a little different. She was talking about how people change, how fake people are. How men are only after one thing. When she suddenly stopped and looked at me with a faint hint of a smile before reaching out to caress my cheek. Before saying, "If only you were older." I just sat there my jaw dropped a little with a totally awkward deer in the headlights look on my face and the maybes and what-ifs began all over again.
We were in the middle of watching Evil Dead and it was at the scene with the trees when the chaos broke out. The doorbell had been ringing downstairs non stop with trick or treaters for what seemed to be hours.
Suddenly we heard a scream. "What the fuck was that," I gasped out nervously.
"Just the movie, dude," Shaun said lazily while wiping Cheetos dust across his shirt. "This guy really thinks he can get pussy? He better just dream on and continue smashing prostitute pussy in grand theft auto," I mumbled. The rest of my criticisms were ended abruptly by the sound of another scream and things getting knocked over.
"That's not the fucking movie," I shouted as I leaped from the bed and rushed down the stairs nearly tripping over my untied Converse.
When I got downstairs I saw Julia laying on the floor, candy scattered everywhere, while a punk teen dressed in a cheap-looking Michael Myers costume was on top of her growling and biting.
I looked around and found the baseball bat that Julia always kept near the door (just in case.) Grabbing it I quickly ran and slammed it hard into the punk's head. The sound of his skull cracking filled the air as he fell from her.
Shaun came running down at that very moment. "What's going on," he said looking around in a confused fashion.
Julia was trying to catch her breath. "I don't know what happened. I was about to give him some candy and suddenly he was on me attacking me," she murmured.
"He probably is on some of those bath salts," Shaun said knowingly.
The teen laid on the floor twitching a little. "I think I might have hit him a little too hard," I said nervously, "but whatever, he deserved it."
"Should we call the cops or something. Maybe have them arrest this fucker?" Shaun asked looking from me to his mom.
She nodded to him and he quickly got the phone and dialed. He waited a moment then hung up. "There was no answer."
"That's weird. There is always someone there."
It was then I noticed Julia's arm. It was dripping blood everywhere. "Um... Julia, you are bleeding," I pointed out nervously.
She looked down at her arm as if just really noticing for the first time. "Oh my God," she exclaimed looking at the bloody mangled flesh on her bicep. "Fuck, it's going to stain the new carpet," she said looking down at the drops of vibrant red blood.
"It's quiet in here," Shaun said. He always hated it when there wasn't constant background noise. One of his many quirks.
"I'm going to see if they are playing It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," he said before walking to the TV and turning it on. Instead, he found a news broadcast.
I glared at him, my eyes squinted like Clint Eastwood when he is about to shoot some fuckers. "Really, your mom just got bitten by some punk-ass twat and is bleeding and you are just going to go watch TV?"
I followed Julia into the kitchen and began helping her clean off her arm. I ran a paper towel under the sink dampening it before dabbing it on her arm slowly wiping the blood away. Our eyes met for a fleeting moment and my hand just rested on her arm. It felt good to touch her despite the circumstances of it. "God, do I have it bad," I thought quietly to myself.
"Um... Tim, You can stop wiping the blood away. You got it all," she said laughing.
"Oh, oops, sorry," I said my cheeks reddening a little before I shrugged trying to play it cool.
She got the OxiClean and went back to the bloodstain and began scrubbing the hell out of it cussing under her breath.
After a few minutes of flipping through stations trying to find something interesting Shaun stopped. "It's literally the same fucking thing on every station. What can be so important?"
"Shaun! Watch your mouth, I'm tired of you talking like that," Julia said as she gave up the futile efforts of removing blood from the carpet.
I shrugged. "Hold up, let's see," I said walking over to Shaun, hoping to put a pause to his constant flipping of the channels.
"Ugh, fine. Probably just some lame broadcast about how people are putting weed in candy. Like anyone would waste weed on children."
"This is an urgent warning. Many reports of strange incidents have been reported tonight in the little town of Dark Falls. Many are reporting incidents of trick or treaters attacking them and a few sketchy but possibly true reports of the dead coming back to life. We don't know what's causing this but once we do, so will you. Please be careful. Turn off your porch light and lock the doors and windows. And do not answer the door to anyone. Take all precautions. And last but not least if you know anyone who has been bitten isolate them immediately."
We both looked at each other. Turning slowly I said, "Hey, um, Julia, did you hear what the newscaster said?" No reply.
I looked over to where she had been scrubbing the carpet and didn't see her.
"Hey, Shaun, where did your mom go?" I said nervously.
"Beats the fuck out of me. Probably to go wash clothes or some other mom shit," he said with a yawn and a shrug.
I ignored him and began my search for her, my heart was already pounding in my chest. Shaun might not be taking this seriously but I was. I already had several scenes from Dawn of the Dead playing throughout my head which had caused me to start a cold sweat.
After searching all over the house I finally found her In her room crouched on the floor crying.
"I feel so sick," she said sensing my presence, "so seriously sick." She looked pale and clammy. I felt my heart jump into my throat and my stomach start to tighten up.
'Oh, please be a bogus news report. Please don't go turning into a zombie on me,' I thought to myself.
I sat down next to her and put my arm around her. "It's going to be okay. You are just in a state of shock." She looked up and smiled weakly. Her eyes met with mine and I could feel my heart as it began pounding loudly again. Not with fear this time but something more.
'Her eyes are so beautiful, deep and blue and so full of warmth,' I thought to myself. I had always been unable to really make eye contact with her so this was the first time I was really seeing her. They say that the eyes are the window to the soul, And if that's the case then I had just seen the most amazingly beautiful soul. One I would do anything for.
"I hope that I didn't catch something when that asshole started biting me," she said still looking at me.
"It'll be okay," I repeated almost more for my sake than for hers.
Oh, how wrong I was.
"HELP," came the frantic voice of Shaun. "SERIOUSLY DUDE GET DOWN HERE NOW I NEED SOME FUCKING HELP." Then came the sound of scuffling and fighting.
I started to run down there, But Julia stopped me. "Get the gun out of my dresser. It's in the top left-hand drawer."
I went to the dresser and opened it and took out a Glock 19 which I only really knew because my dad had forced me into learning about guns one year, pulling me away from my video games and taking me into the sun. It turned into several hours of him drinking gross Miller beer and burping loudly while telling me what a nerd I was but I did learn to shoot and for a brief second I had thought about shooting him. Just for the hell of it.
I ran downstairs gun in hand and discovered that the Punk Teen was up and about and now wrestling on the floor with Shaun while snarling and trying to bite his face.
"Get this fucking piece of shit bath salt snorter off me," Shaun yelled through gritted teeth
"I think he is a zombie." I couldn't believe I just said that.
"Grow the fuck up, dude. No such thing as zombies He is just a fucking garbage person."
"You heard what that newscaster said. He said that there were reports of the dead coming back to life," I said through clenched teeth waving the gun around in the air. "I'm going to have to shoot him."
"Careful with that thing," Shaun said as he continued his wrestling with the zombie. The zombie was drooling slimy green ooze all over his face. "Yuck," he said. "Dude quit fucking around and shoot him before he turns me into a Chinese buffet."
And without even hesitating I aimed the gun in his direction and pulled the trigger and shot. I missed his head and instead ended up shooting off half of his ear.
I adjusted my aim and squeezed the trigger again. The bullet opened up a window through his skull and this time the zombie crumpled in a pile, his brains lay scattered around him.
"Cool," Shaun said.
I shook my head. "No, it's not. You do realize your mom got bitten, right?"
"She'll be fine," Shaun said clearly ignoring the dire situation.
"I think we should go check on her," I said quietly almost to myself before running up the stairs with Shaun shuffling slowly behind me
I stepped into the room. "Hey, Julia. You feeling alright?" I asked cautiously almost afraid of the answer.
She was sitting in the same place I had left her but this time she was ripping the stuffing out of a pillow.
I rushed to her side and took the already murdered pillow out of her hands. "Julia, hey what's the matter."
It felt like an age before she finally looked up at me. "I had this sudden urge to rip into something and the next thing I knew I was ripping apart the pillow."
"Oh, Julia..." I didn't even really know what to say to that.
"I feel super sick and nothing is really making sense right now," she said her voice trembling a little.
I leaned in and kissed her softly on her cheek forgetting the fact that Shaun was standing right behind me. "Let's get you to the hospital. They'll know what to do."
I helped her stand and turned to see Shaun glaring hard at me. He had definitely seen that kiss.
I was surprised when he didn't say anything about it but instead calmly helped me get his mom down the stairs and to the car.
"Dibs on driving," Shaun said eagerly.
"Go for it. I'll sit in the backseat with Julia," I murmured no longer even caring how obvious my massive heart on for his mom was.
The ride to the hospital felt long. Shaun had turned on the radio and yet another urgent news report was playing.
"This is an urgent warning, Please do not eat any candy corn manufactured by the Candy Fun Company. It appears to have all been tainted. Whether it was an accident or on purpose we still have yet to know. But it would appear that the candy corn isn't made up of your typical sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Instead, it contains human DNA and some other chemicals we have yet to identify. Destroy your candy corn. Stay indoors and try to remain safe. Do not go venturing outside your home. If you happen upon a zombie aim for the head and destroy the brain. It's the only way to stop them."
"Ewwwwww, I didn't think anyone ate that vile shit anymore," Shaun said with disgust.
I was glad he didn't turn around as he talked. My arms were wrapped tightly around Julia holding her close but I guess it wouldn't matter much now if he saw.
Julia let out a mournful groan. "I've never allowed candy corn into our home. It's so bad for your teeth," she said in almost a delirious fashion.
I couldn't help but smile a little. Julia was always super concerned about what was bad for your teeth. She was the one person I knew who got super into Colgate commercials.
I looked out the window and almost gasped at what I saw. Abandoned cars with there doors open, blood splatted streets, a man getting his face eaten by a drooling snarling blonde in a cheerleader uniform. Everywhere I looked there were bodies and tipped over trick or treat buckets. I felt like I had been transported into hell.
We finally got to the hospital. I was wary about getting out of the car. But if worse came to worst I still had Julia's Glock with a couple of bullets left in it.
Shaun brought the car to a halt nearly hitting a blood-streaked ambulance.
We stepped out and I found myself almost tripping over a hopefully very dead paramedic.
"Looks like he could use some CPR," Shaun said laughing a little.
I shook my head and continued walking with Julia. Shaun can't ever take anything seriously. Having known him as long as I did I knew he was deep down really scared and was using humour as his defense mechanism. We got into the hospital which appeared to be mostly abandoned. We kept looking anyway, though, hoping we'd find a doctor, a nurse, anything at this point.
Of course, I knew that in the movies the hospital was always the worst place to go. But, I was trying to be optimistic.
We had just walked into the intensive care area and discovered corpse after corpse. It looked as if someone had very recently put them all out of their drooling candy corn infected miseries.
"Hey, you! You can't be here," came a booming shrill voice. We turned around to find a woman in what was probably once a white doctor's coat. It was completely soaked in blood and bits of pulp.
"Um, hey. We need to see a doctor and fast," I said ignoring what she had said.
She nodded her head towards Julia. "She got bitten, didn't she. Never mind. Don't bother answering. I know she has. Had she eaten the candy corn she would have turned already."
Shaun and I both stared at her for a moment. "Yeah, she did. We need to get her some help."
I noted that her badge said, Dr. Patricia Gulager.
Dr. Gulager shook her head. "I hate to tell you that there is no hope for her. She'll be one of them soon drooling and biting and infecting more people. The only help I can give you is to give her a shot of this. It does the job fast." She held up a syringe full of bright green liquid.
"What the fuck is that!" I gasped out horrified.
She shrugged. "It's just a bunch of chemicals I managed to whip up. Does the job. All I have to do is inject this into her brain and it's lights out for Mama. Sorry, kids."
She had started moving towards us slowly the syringe in hand and I was about to give her a hard kick to her pussy when suddenly to my surprise Julia seemed to 'come alive.' She hissed at the doctor before knocking her to the floor. Dr. Gulager was gasping in horror and thrashing about. But somehow Julia managed to hold her down and the next thing we knew she was full-on eating her.
Shaun and I couldn't help but stare. Julia was lapping and crunching and slurping.
"I've seen some crazy girl on girl action before but this one certainly takes the cake."
I turned and looked at him with a look that said, "Really, Dude."
"Sorry," he muttered more to himself than me.
Julia had finally stopped munching and was now crying and trying to wipe the blood from her mouth using her shirt. "I'm a monster," she said.
"No, you aren't. You could never be a monster. You just freaked out a little."
She looked at me like I was crazy and maybe I was crazy. In love, that is. "I just ate someone, Tim, and you say I only just freaked out a little."
She was sobbing hard now, her head buried in her hands.
Shaun nudged me. "We are going to have to shoot her soon because she'll turn completely and it'll either be her or us."
I couldn't believe what he was saying. "What the fuck is wrong with you, We are not going to shoot Julia. She won't be like them. She is too alive, too real, too beautiful."
"Dude, I know you have a penis crush on my mom, but you are just going to have to let go of that because I am not going to get bitten. You heard that Doctor, there is no hope. Nothing can change this. She isn't even my mom anymore, She isn't the same person you think you love. She's a zombie."
And at that moment I knew I didn't really like Shaun anymore. Our friendship was over and while that sucked I also didn't want to be friends with some asshole who was willing to kill his own mom.
Shaun stepped over to me and tried to take the gun from my hands. He was pulling on the barrel of it.
I glared at him. "I'm giving you one fucking warning, Shaun. Let go of the fucking gun and fuck right off or you are going to join the doctor on the floor over there!" I couldn't believe myself but here it was.
He didn't let go though, not even when I raised my hand up and slapped it across his face. He just tried harder and I almost lost my grip on the gun and the next thing I knew he was laying on the floor bleeding from his stomach.
"So sorry man, but I did warn you." I sat down next to him taking his hand in mine as he choked on his own blood. "You've got red on you," he said as he spat blood everywhere before going completely silent.
Years of friendship had just come to a final bloody end and it was a bummer but he deserved it.
I looked over a Julia who was staring at her dead son with a numb cold look on her face.
"So, so sorry. But he was going to kill you and I know that doesn't make what I did any better but I care about you so much and I couldn't let it happen."
"Maybe you should have let him. I'm turning, Tim. Rapidly, and there's a hunger inside me and I know I won't be able to fight it off for long, I don't want to hurt you, Tim. I don't want to hurt anyone. I don't even eat meat. I'm a vegetarian. This isn't going to work for me."
I moved over to her and took her into my arms lifting her up into them. Like she was a Bride and I was about to carry her over the threshold, 'If only' I thought as I looked deeply into her eyes again with a heavy heart.
"Where are you taking me, Tim?" she asked in a weak voice.
"Away from all this. You don't need to see it." I carried her into another room and surveyed it making sure it was clear of the living dead before locking the door.
I laid her on the small hospital bed. " I know this isn't much but it'll have to do," I whispered into her ear.
"Why are you trying so hard for me, Tim. Why can't you just let go?"
I leaned in and pressed my lips to hers with a passion. To my surprise, her lips parted invitingly and my tongue slipped into her mouth, my arms were wrapped tightly around her and I kissed her harder than I had ever kissed anyone. Not that there had been very many. I felt myself getting lost in the kiss never wanting it to end.
Finally, our kiss ended and I looked at her again. "I can't let you go. I love you. You are the light that shines on my darkest nights, the smile when I first wake in the morning, and in my every dream I've lived my entire life for you."
"I know, I love you too, Tim, but this isn't right. You still have a chance if you leave now. I can't be the one responsible for your end. End me and maybe in another life, we'll find each other again."
I shook my head. "Julia, its no use, Nothing you can say or do would make me turn away. I'll find a way to make this better. You just have to hold on and trust me because when you find true love you never let go."
She reached up and pulled me closer to her and whispered in my ear softly, "Till death do us part then my sweet darling," before pressing her lips again to mine and kissing me with an urgent hunger, a hunger not for flesh but one completely carved out of desire.
Our tongues twirled and danced together hot and wet. She moaned into my mouth as my hands moved down to her breasts cupping them and squeezing gently before slowly inching one hand downwards until it was between her legs and under her skirt. My fingertips grazed the surprisingly wet lace of her panties.
She moved her hips a little, pressing herself into my hand, my fingers continued move sliding against the lace, rubbing her tenderly through them, causing her to moan into my mouth again, our tongues vibrating together.
I couldn't believe this was finally happening! My heart was thundering in my chest feeling almost as if it could explode at any second.
I felt her fingers begin to tug at the button on my jeans, unfastening them before tugging down the zipper.
My cock sprung out almost instantly, already hard and throbbing. I kissed her harder as her hand wrapped around my cock and began stroking it in an up and down motion. My fingers continued rubbing and caressing her wet panty clad cunt.
She suddenly broke our seemingly never-ending kiss. "Rip them off of me," she practically moaned her voice completely tinged with lust.
I grabbed them and began tearing, the thin lace easily tore away from her.
"I've wanted this probably as long as you have," she murmured before adding, "I just can't believe it's happening like this."
We slowly stripped away the rest of our clothes until our bare bodies were touching, pressing together, her flesh was soft against mine, just the way I had always imagined.
I wanted to kiss every last inch of her and make it last as long as I possibly could, to do all the things I had always dreamed of, but I knew this might be our first and only. There was no time for everything and the thought of that felt like a knife to the heart.
I brought my lips to her neck, kissing, feeling her soft flesh.
"Your lips are so warm, so alive," she whispered as I continued kissing her, slowly working my way downwards until I reached her breast. My tongue slid out hungrily and flicked against her hard nipple, before sucking it into my mouth, as her hand found my cock again and began positioning me against her warm wet cunt. I took the fact that she was still warm and wet to be a good thing. After all, if she was dead wouldn't it feel like a freezer?
Slowly I entered her an inch at a time, She moaned loudly as I completely buried myself in her, my hips began to thrust up and down, first slow thrusts then finally harder deeper more intense thrusts, completely ramming my cock inside of her with an urgent frenzy. She was moaning loudly practically screaming,
I moved my lips away from her nipple and began kissing her again, partly because I wanted and needed to, and partly because I didn't want any zombies or crazy doctors hearing us if there were any left in here.
Our kiss was deep and long and full of passion. I couldn't let her die on me. I wouldn't let her die on me. I had never needed someone so much.
I felt her tightening up around me, squeezing down around my cock, her lips moved away from mine. "Oh, god, I'm going to cum all over your cock," she said her voice still thick with lust.
I felt her begin to cum, hot wet juices flooded me, sending me over the edge until I burst my hot thick seed deep inside of her, completely coating her insides.
We laid there in a crumpled wet heap, and I realized that somewhere towards the end of our fucking she had actually died and came back, sort of, yet here she was still. At least for now, I wrapped my arms around her and held her.
I don't know what tomorrow or the next day or the one after that is going to bring. The entire world could be completely taken over with walking drooling hungry zombies. Hell, I could even become one. But right at this very moment I just know one thing. I'm happy, even if I had to kill my best friend and watch my dream woman turn into a flesh-eating monster. And, so what if going out to dinner with her isn't quite the romantic, Olive Garden cliché, it was still pretty cool in my book. True love conquers all. And if feeding your woman a human sandwich or some fingers and ketchup when she's got the munchies wasn't true love, then What?
