The picture you posted was taken during a rally at the Dayton International Airport on Nov. 7, 2022, in Vandalia, Ohio. At that time, Vance was the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. That was two years before the assassination attempt. The picture you posted is heavily cropped (and badly cropped, too). Here is the whole picture.

Those cameras in the 60's catching bullets hitting things were not standard TV broadcasting cameras. No matter how well you may remember them.

Crazy, I would never have thought that.

Apparently though, it only grazed his ear rather than hitting it directly. That's probably why he made his 9am Tee-off the next day, with both ears attached.

Anyone saying it was "staged" needs to get in the bin.
