4WD is a necessity for the winter where I live, and I love my SUV. Currently have a Ford Escape, shopping for a new one, either another of the same or a Honda. I'm most definitely one for practicality, getting through the snow and a bit of hauling capacity but not the gas hog of a large SUV or truck.
