I doubt that I am going to shatter any ideals here, as everyone has pretty much weighed in.
I can say this, one of my very best friends is 14 years older than me - and it has been by far the best experience ever. It could be the 'type' of my age guys I've chosen, but he really understood what I needed and how to provide it. Not only that - but he is still very built, (more than some younger guys) and has the staying power
of anyone half his age.
Again, that is only one experience - but it is something that has profoundly changed my mind about judging a book by it's 'age' cover!!!!
