Doesn't bother me at all smile Like I said, it's a quick and easy clarification through my website. I actually get a warm, fuzzy feeling knowing that even if it's rarely, the mods are looking out for authors by attempting to halt attempts at plagiarism.

And even if we're not checking for it all the time, we take swift action when concerns about plagiarism are raised.

Mods are mostly authors too, and we know how much it sucks when someone rips us off.

Three different times. Of course, that's over my whole tenure here, so not all that often. The tone and style of my Les and especially Dark pieces are sometimes radically different than my RR stuff, so it's not surprising that it would look out of place when I put one of them in the queue.

also, you just look shady. not to mention, your stance on reality.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Funny, I didn't have my first story rejected but my third, I think, by a mod who basically told me that my dialogue formatting was all fucked up - and I tend to use a lot of dialogue. I took offense and argued the point - after all, I'd been writing elsewhere for quite some time - but then went and checked some novels and other professionally written and edited things I had on hand and damned if he wasn't right about every point!

I hope I groveled sufficiently in my apology, but yes, Wilful and the other mods definitely made me a much better writer.

I remember that! Man, you went off like a frog in a sock. I actually asked Sprite if we could send goons after you.

I can't recall any grovelling, but I did see a hell of an improvement in your writing. So much so that it was me who nominated you to become a mod yourself.

I had a couple of rejections back in the day. I didn't take it well, but thankfully I mostly kept my tantrums offline. It's funny how little we're open to criticism on creative work that's so personal to us.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to honing our craft and helping each other become better writers. Thank you to the mods that have given, and continue to give of your time. And thank you, Fuzzy, for reminding us all of what we're here for.

That, and a whole bunch of jackin' it, you dirty freaks! Uh-huh, I know why you're here...
My latest story is a racy little piece about what happens when someone cute from work invites you over to watch Netflix and Chill.
